It can be really hard to put yourself in someone else’s shoes for things like depression because each person deals with it differently. I would say better things to suggest would be to seek things like therapy and offer emotional support if they need to talk. Being there for someone suffering is more meaningful than you could possibly imagine. Signs that I am depressed include: not talking to anyone, sleeping all day, not cleaning or doing anything productive in a frozen state, eating too much or not at all. But everyone is different. There are probably a lot of resources for you out there to help understand it better.

It can be really hard to put yourself in someone else’s shoes for things like depression because each person deals with it differently. I would say better things to suggest would be to seek things like therapy and offer emotional support if they need to talk. Being there for someone suffering is more meaningful than you could possibly imagine. Signs that I am depressed include: not talking to anyone, sleeping all day, not cleaning or doing anything productive in a frozen state, eating too much or not at all. But everyone is different. There are probably a lot of resources for you out there to help understand it better.

In regards to reading peoples suicide letters for a video - Onision used to do a similar thing. I came across one of them and watched to see how he'd justify it. My jaw absolutely dropped when he read out my friends suicide note that he'd found in a news article about her death. He then continued to make fun of her letter. I come from a small town and it absolutely floored me.

But hearing touchdalight and his friend talk about 'being messed in the head' to write a suicide note about having the devil tell you to kill yourself makes me really mad. My aunt went through the exact same thing, you don't need to be messed up in the head to experience it. I'm so grateful my aunt is still alive but all the people who did let themselves go because of this are in my thoughts.
