On the shower jug, put a clear plastic bag / tarp over the top and the water will get warmer. It behaves like a green house stopping the wind from removing heat.
@angarch The jug is black. you want the sun's rays to hit that, not the bag. The purpose of the bag is to keep the wind or rising air from cooling the jug.
I find your videos entertaining. I have no desire to do what you do. I hate camping and I hate traveling. I can not stand RV's and would never want to work seasonal jobs to finance my life style. I get to sit on my ass and watch people like you do your thing in the comfort of my house. It is interesting to me because your life style would make me miserable. I really admire YOU. Rate before you got into Marquette (3.03) I have slept on that beach in the past. I love it up here and I live about another 150 miles north of that beach if you stay on US41 and go north almost all the way to Copper Harbor. All the fresh water you could ever want, all the fish you could ever eat and so much wild berries and apples and other fruits free for the picking. All you need here is a good wood stove for heating and cooking and a little veggie garden and some cans for canning those veggies. You can live all year around and live off the land.. All you ever hear are maybe and wolves or coyotes in their nightly hunting. The wind and the leaves and the water is all you really hear. No noise or light pollution and untouched and pristine . I have been spending all my summers here growing up and I finally moved here 10 years ago. You know if you would have gone to Lanse and went north to Skanee, that is where RV Joey lives now.. You could have stayed at her camp. She has been elusive these days. Pops out once in a while. She lives rate across Keweenaw Bay from me.. If you and Kelly come back this way next summer look me up and I will show you some of the hidden treasures of this area in the Keweenaw Peninsula . I love it here and will stay till the day I die.. ~Deb

Brian, I camped at that camp two years ago. It was a great place. So neat to know exactly where you are staying. Looks a bit different on a video perspective. I explored this area a bit walking my dog. About a mile further on there are more good spots. When I left the area there was a log across the road so I needed to get the saw out. Love your travel. UP of Michigan is one of my favourite areas. Cheers.

I just installed a diesel heater in my step van conversion and could not be happier with the way it works. Mine is tapped into the truck's diesel fuel tanks, which makes it very convenient. The first thing I was advised to do was throw away the instructions and watch youtube install videos. One look at the instructions and in the garbage they went.

Was that the Painted River? It looks familiar but I cant remember an established campground around there.
