Hi John lovely video, I’m very lucky to live in Crickhowell , did the walk Saturday lovely cloud inversion on the day so views were amazing next time your down there is a more enjoyable route that follows a mountain stream that leads to table Thanks again gray video
Hi Richard, it must have been magnificent on Saturday with a cloud inversion. I was on Corn Du and Pen y Fan on Sunday in the snow and it was amazing. I passed through Crickhowell on my way home, you are very lucky to live there. I'll have a look at the map for your alternative route. Thank you very much for taking the time to watch and for your kind comment I really appreciate your support 🙂👍
It was a lovely 1/2 day walk and not many people around. The full horseshoe walk I mention is a great walk, but you need go be staying over to do it. Thanks very much for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it. Hope you have a fantastic weekend 😀
Enjoyable Video John. I have Been On a Vacation last Week ventured Across The Himalayan Mountains. Watching this Gives Those Camping vibes. It was Really Dark Bortle 2 skies There and I was Viewing the Milky way. I would Like Tp visit the Black Mountains someday. Thanks For Sharing this!
Hi Avanteesh. I also went to the Himalayas, but many years ago before I was interested in astronomy. As you say, the skies would me amazing with so little light pollution. Thank you very much for watching and commenting, hope you have a great week 👍
It was a very nice route with good views, so worth the long drive from my home. Thank you very much for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it.
Enjoyed this, thanks. I ahve been considering Pen Cerrig Calch with my eldest son. Really we wanted to do some of the bigger fells up in the Lake District but as we are short of time and live in Didcot this makes more sense (also I am heavy so descending isn't my forte, and so this is "only" 600m without any scrambling). Keep up the great videos.
Glad you enjoyed this Hedley. I like the Lakes too, but living in Sussex makes the Brecon Beacons more accessible. Once you have got to the Table top, all of the steep stuff is done, and the walk gives very good views.
I did enjoy it - really good to see you back after so long. Ha, what do they say about the clothing/layering? 'Be bold go cold.' It's sometimes like that off and on with gear. But hey a fantastic walk. I love it up there - the views and are good and the space is grand. The horse shoe next time. Well, good going. Mark (Hereford)
Hi Alan, it's because I love the upland areas but live in the South East. Although I like the South Downs, I want to get more rugged every now and again. Thanks for watching and commenting, hope you have a good week ahead 😊
Always enjoyable to watch your adventures - I personally enjoy trips where there are two or 3 distinct peaks/areas to conquer! When you gained altitude the landscape had a certain Scandinavian feel; so I think you would have enjoyed a hike in parts of Norway or Sweden! Have a great weekend; regards!
Hi Nicholas 😊. The area around Pen Cerrig Calch was quite rocky, and there were lots of vegetation tussocks. Equally, the summit of Table Mountain was covered in little hummocks, making it hard to find a spot. The best area, I reckon is just after Table Mountain, before you start the climb to Pen Cerrig Calch. There are a few potential spots there, but not necessarily totally flat. Thanks for taking the time to watch and comment, it is much appreciated 👍
Camping Astronomer, I am goatsuukerhill. You are helping me with starnet. I am unable to find your email address on your facebook page. Probably because I don't have a facebook account. Can you post your email address on our youtube starnet thread?
Only now coming across your channel, but you’re definitely worth a like and subscribe! Amazing video! 👏 ❤
@@LifeWithSass Thank you, that's much appreciated. I have returned the favour on your channel 😊

the route is quite friendly....
The view is very cool ... there are still green grass and trees .... steady ...

I need to check out that area on foot. I think to do all the trails I want to do in the UK I’ll need years! So many nice ones in England. Great video!
Thanks Shan, there are some lovely national parks here and also some fabulous coastal walking if that is your thing 🙂👍

I'm sure I would love walks in Norway an Sweden if your videos are anything to go by. Have a great weekend 🙂👍
Another good video John. I never see any communication towers on the background Hills. Is there any mobile coverage typically up there?
Thanks Mark. Yes, normally I get reasonable signal on the tops themselves, but it can be a bit patchy lower down. Have a good weekend 👍
Was there any camping spots at the top
