That is really cool to drag something like that home I'm not sure but I think it should have the torque boxes are at the leaf spring hanging bracket so cool get something like that it's not rusted out
Think those cars are better than the A list right now ,understated, your mind goes just naturally to NASCAR back then , speak softly and carry a big stick !
They did stamp the VIN on the 727 trans case . I know that because the one I got running for a customer had the numbers matching block and trans and had never been taken apart . Another great video Jon !
@@JonnyMopar I jacked that car up and crawled under it and cleaned things off to read the numbers . Even the 727 had the VIN stamped . It was bought new and the engine was still in the car , skinny steel wheels and all . It truly was a virgin ,numbers matching , Hemi car . If I had not seen those numbers with my own eyes I could say it's possible they never came stamped but that engine and trans were stamped . In fact , my bro Ed was writing down the numbers as I read them off . The customer who was paying us to help him purchase it from the original owners . That car was close to what Mike's is but it was a Coronet 500 and was Gold on Gold . I do have pics somewhere of the one I worked on , and it was actually running and moving under it's own power with hose and fluid changes , the carbs rebuilt , and running on a gas can . The car literally sat in a barn in Redlands from 1968 to around 1990 when the kid did not come back from Vietnam , it was one of those stories , but it was a REAL story . Hearing the kid's Dad talk about it choked me up .
@@EvansBrosRacing Oh man. It chokes me up thinking about it. And that’s good to know. I don’t mess with 67’s and older much. And to be honest I don’t have anything rare enough to bother looking at the numbers I have.
@@JonnyMopar You have some awesome cars Jon . Those rare cars are big investments these days . I owned my first Hemi ( a 426 Hemi , I don't count the gen 1 's they were a dime a dozen then ) when I was 19 . I owned 4 over the years but never owned a Hemi car that was factory . I worked on a few and built a few Hemis for customers cars . On the original one I picked up for the customer , seeing that one in the Barn was just amazing , I figured it was a poly 318 until I saw the fender badge and I said holy shit batman . The air cleaner was off the engine , but that was luckily in the trunk . I checked the rear wheelwell lips expecting they were rolled or bent for tire clearance but they were not touched . It still had the tiny little bias ply tires , 14" , I believe . I have to look for pics , I know I took some when It was at my place .
Okay Mike ,did you buy the glass molds from Ed Kelly in Fallbrook ? And message me if you need any info on the materials you need for the glass , we still make fiberglass parts .
Awesome car.
Very cool!!!
Holy Crap a factory Hemi car!! That's freaking badass!!
Indeed.

Tell me about it. It’s one of the cleanest Mopars I’ve ever seen.total time capsule.
Nothing about that car isn't cool. Insane survivor
Tell me about it. It’s hard just finding any car this old this clean and rust free. But a Hemi? It’s an incredible car.
That a100 is cool
There will be a video coming soon on it. And maybe a better video on it down the road
I want to be in a Jonny Mopar video! Killer work Jonny. Your buddy has excellent classic Cars!

It's my understanding 67's and older weren't stamped with VIN numbers. But I dunno.

@@EvansBrosRacing Way cool. Send me the pictures and I’ll put them in a video.
It’s cool seeing an old survivor surface like that. Good job and thanks for sharing Jonny!
I like the car with the backpack too 🤗
Lol. Mike keeps his sandwiches and juice packs in there.

Lol. I didn’t steal it but if I had $25k I would have in a heart beat.
Ask 20 people how much something is worth, then ask the same 20 to step up and watch what happens....
