    Presentation is everything to the Ghanaian. I remember Home Science as a subject in Junior High School in Ghana. Every student must cook and present to the teacher. The person/group with the best presentation and tastier food wins.

      They had no jelloff rice, akara, point and kill, egusi etc. Foods they now cook and claim!!!
      Ghanaians now cook Amala and Ewedu...Youba food and claim it.
      Kenke with fried fish and peppers, Wyache are from Ghana, and that tomato watery soup/ sauce.

      @angelicakweku5293 Apparently, you never lived in Ghana. Ghana jollof rice is made from jasmine (perfumed) rice. Go to any African shop in Europe an US, and check where beans, yam, egusie, palm oil, gariand indomie are imported from. Eventough Ghanaians don't eat bitter leaf, most of it is imported from Ghana because most of the products from Nigeria are banned because of lack of standards

    Nigerian 🇳🇬 food is incomparable and a delight to the taste buds, it is just as diverse as the 371 tribes with their unique cuisine each. From the Hausa to the North, the Yoruba to the West, the Igbos to the East, the Edo, Delta, Effik and Ibibios to the south amongst others and the Kanuris, the Gbagyis, the Tivs to the Middle Belt amongst others. Akara/Kose, MoiMoi/ Olele, Egusi, Ewedu, Ogbono, Black Souo (just to name a few) are foods indigenous to Nigeria This video didn’t even scratch the surface, nevertheless a good job ❤❤❤.

    You basically had egusi soup in the Ghana restaurant. It’s the same thing just prepared differently. No difference in taste . Ghanaians don’t really eat it with fufu or pounded yam. It is usually eaten with rice, yam or any root vegetable.

    • @Enkaybe
      @Enkaybe Месяц назад

      It’s not Egusi it’s “kontomire stew” not everything is done by Nigerians alone or originated from Nigeria! We have similar foods with different names all over Africa. We’re tired of Nigerians claiming everything

    Fufu is rare outside of Nigeria, and it has a distinct fermented smell.

    My Brother, The Best JOOLOF RICE is from The Gambia and Senegambia AND THAT IS FROM THE GAMBIA and SENEGAL.
    According to The LDIES in The Aria Restaurant in Houston, The Best JOOLOF RICE is from The Gambia during a JOOLOF RICE competesion in Nigeria.. The Hybiscos Drink that the Lady is trying to Explain to you how it is made, was first introduced to Nigerians by Gambians during a Tourist Festival Show, and the Nigerians who drink that juice call WONJO in The Gambia, thought that it was Red Wine , but later The Nigerians came to know it was not Red Wine because of its sweetness.
    About The Joolof Rice , its equally good and Delicious as in The Gambia as in Senegal.
    The Original Name of JOOLOF RICE is Benna Chinn, which simply means ONE COOKING POT.
    There is another one call two Chinn which simply means two cooking pots and in that one can not cook JOOLOF RICE .
    Two Pots cooking is mostly used by Gambians and it means to cook separately The Souse and the Rice separately. and to cook The JOOLOF RICE , , IT GOES BY USING ONLY ONE POT..
    Any type of souse which is cook separately from the Rice , is call two pot cooking..
    So my brother, come to The Gambia during the next Tourist Season which starts in October 2024 up to May of 2025 and you can see, Eat the Best JOOLOF RICE Gambian STYLE BOTH LOCALLY and THE HOTELS. Thanks.
