@@neilmurphy966 keep in mind that the girl who said that is the villain, you’re supposed to dislike her and the irreverent way she goes about her business. I’d argue that the movie went out of its way to make her the most irredeemable/dislikable character in the movie after her dad, which is impressive considering everyone here is a criminal/killer albeit very charming ones
This is as close to perfect as a film can get. The story is actually good. The characters and their dialogue is phenomenal. You never get bored during it. The action is over the top and brutal, but then it's balanced out with some of the best comedy I've gotten out of a movie in a long time. I always tell people that this movie literally oozes personality.
The guy who directed this movie was the stunt double for Brad Pitt and Jean Claude Van Damme . He acted in The Order (2001) as a detective with Van Damme and In Hell (2003) as Van Damme brother law in the movie .. pretty amazing how far he’s come

I don't know why this movie isn't getting more love. It is one the best action movies I have seen since the theaters reopened. The pacing is excellent and the twist were inventive. Is it over the top at times, yes. But it always makes sense in it's own twisted way.

I loved it. It would be hard to make a sequel without y’know it being set in a train again but I think they should make another one and call it. “Bullet Train De-Railed.” With it being set in a train for a bit. I loved how every small detail tied together. Really go watch it, you might find something new every time you watch it because I did.
I would love a sequel, but I would like it taking place somewhere else like Switzerland with new characters besides Brad Pitts character, a new story, and a new enemy.

They could always adapt more of Kotaro Isaka’s works, Bullet train was the second novel of his Hitman Trilogy. The last installment is AX (Akksu) and is only available in Japanese as of now. If they adapted the whole trilogy it would be very interesting as well as a wealth of material to explore.
This was by far the greatest mainstream film I've seen in YEARS. Well written, great actors, one of the first movies in recent that I haven't been complaining in my head throughout about bad choices made and so on.. I don't like to rate movies but an absolute must see. Would love to see more of lemon and tangerine, unbelievable work.
It feels so good to see Brad Pitt taking these kinda roles that he wouldn't have taken 5 years ago. His at his point of career where he can literally take on any role, good or bad. Good to see.
Brad has always been able to do wackier roles, he's just in the same boat as George Clooney. Character actors cursed with leading man faces.

@@walawala7985 yes it is a novel. Quite a bit changes from novel to movie, some bits okay, some reasonable, some greatly unpreferred based on my tastes. But I will say, the movie has a much better ending.

You probably haven't seen him in Nocturnal Animals in which he was extremely shit scary as a sinister person, that's his very first villainous performance and he knocked it outta the park even won a Golden Globe for his performance. Shame that he didn't get Oscar nominated. Maybe Nocturnal Animals was also the movie that convinced Sony to cast him as Kraven because he was absolutely scary in that movie

I know its mostly recorded in train scenario but this film has been the most engaging piece I have ever watched in a few years. Its a bit fast but its definitely worth it
as far as action and comedy go, this movie was 10/10 - overall though insaaaanely far fetched if you’re looking for a realistic plot. extremely exciting movie nonetheless, and if you’re an action fanatic this ones for you.

One of the few movies where every character is memorable in one way or another. There is not a single character in this movie that I forgot about after seeing it, most movies you have a couple side characters or villains that you forget about as soon as the movie ends. But even the boring characters personality wise (cough cough hornet cough cough) are at least memorable because of what they do or how they do it. It's a master class in inventing unique characters, every character has important and memorable character traits that actually impact the story in a meaningful way, and every character has a believable and interconnected motivation. The movie also does a great job of making every character FEEL important, no spoilers but there's a character that's introduced, and dies like 10 minutes later, but it felt like an important character death because they somehow managed to fit so much detail about the character into those few minutes we saw them. Great movie, don't listen to the critics, just watch it

Just saw this movie today and it was fantastic. If Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino directed a film together, I imagine it would be Bullet Train. Beautifully stylized, plot twists were great, and the dialogue had the whole audience laughing at times. Highly recommended.
I had to think of Tarantino as well.

The Guy Richie vibe was so damn strong! And now that you mentioned, some action sequences filled with violence are very much akin to Tarantino films! One of the best movies this year has offered so far!

That japanese song that last fight makes it feel like an epic anime battle. I know it's a good movie I'd watch again because when it was over it felt like it was such a short movie.
I think it feels kind of whimsical the way it can pump you up like some of the fight scenes, make you laugh and also touching. There are also bit where it sounds kind of deep and meaningful but at the same time makes a joke out of that as well. Some of the lines and scene also weirdly feels like it could be such a corny and cliche scene but it doesnt feel that way.
I mean ita engaging the entire duration but I really like the last 1/4 or so of the movie.

It's very cartoonish, and feels like the concluding ending movie to a 90s anime and I love it. The characters feel like we've known them forever and they're just finally back on screen. I hope we get some prequel movies about tangerine and lemon and maybe a prequel of when ladybug used to be a hardcore killer

Please watch this movie!! Exactly the same as the trailer, beautiful cinematography, insane music sync, and great humor! There are so many plot twists and surprises that make the movie even better! Great action, not corny like you might think. It had the audience cheering and gasping all the time. All around a feel good movie

This was one of the best films I’ve seen. Very engaging from start to finish. Intelligent script, and just an overall fun movie to watch.
Went to see another movie but the projector was broken so I saw this instead, didnt want to cause of the awful critic reviews but I paid for those tickets. What an incredible 2h it was, sceptical in the first 10 mins as it looked like it was gonna try to take its self seriously but my god did it pick up after that. Hilarious, great action, great acting 10/10

as someone who's never been to japan, is this DEAD off and regarded as unfair to japanese culture or is this more so a dramatized version of japan? i always enjoyed the fast-paced, technological, neon aesthetic featured in a lot of shows and movies when they showed japan. but i never knew how much of that was real culture or the hollywood hyperbolic creation
just watched it and i didn't regret a second. simply one of the best movies ever
David Leitch is one of the best action directors working today, and this looks like a wild ride. Love the cast as well, although Joey King has yet to impress me in what I've seen her in, but I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and hope she was casted well in this.

@@lizlobos111 I haven't, I've seen her in Conjuring, Wish Upon, and Kissing Booth. Wish Upon and Kissing Booth were terrible. Conjuring is good but Joey didn't have a big part in it.

@@rzl-ci1jj That's Brian Tyree Henry, he's best known for playing the character of Paper Boi in Atlanta. He was also in Steve McQueen's Widows and voiced Miles Morales' dad in Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse.
Fun fact: He's also appearing in the movie alongside Zazie Beetz who's also part of Atlanta. And they both appeared on Joker as well

I’m surprised at how many people say they didn’t like the movie. It seems they just didn’t get it. I’m so glad I’ve watched it despite the negative reviews. The characters, the plot, the overarching fun - everything was beyond my expectations. Many thanks to the director and to the screw for making such a great movie.

This was such a fun movie. Brad Pitt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Brian Tyree Henry stole the show. John Wick-esque, but without any of the seriousness.
Hiroyuki Sonada was a highlight for me, although I’m probably biased because he played Scorpion.
Speaking of John wick, I had it in my head that the white death was played by keanu reeves. I don’t know where I got the idea but I thought it was going to be him.
Cameo was out of the park 🤣
Just watched the movie, one of the best movie experience of my life. The direction, cinematography, music and acting sync so well in this movie. Brilliant movie 10/10

It's not just that, it's the way EVERYTHING comes back and ties into itself. The inter-connectedness of all the plotlines is first class and the dramatic irony of what happens to some of the characters is just outstanding! It's a _very_ clever movie!

Critics are really the worst that has happened to movie industries, in terrible hero movies they get amazing rating whereas finally something different than marvel almost of the times gets terrible ratings. One of my favorite movies I’ve seen this year and an amazing time spent with my friends. I loved every second of this movie

David Leitch is an awesome director. Even if the scripts for his films aren't always great, the action is gonna be terrific for sure.
As what in Deadpool 2 opening credit would say to reference Leitch, "Directed by the guy who killed the dog in John Wick" 😂😂😂

Incredible movie. Great use of Checkhov's gun throughout. Perfectly written and perfectly paced for a feature length runtime too. It knew what it was meant to be (a fun action-comedy) and exceeded all expectations in delivering that experience to the audience.
