I think it started from fourth fret G string and slide it up to 11th fret ,then B string the second at 10th fret and hammer on ( slur) or note by note to 12th fret ,then bend it to reach sound ( note) of 15th fret. The middle finger begin sliding to 11th fret, then second string at 10th fret with index of the left finger, then go on 12th fret with ring finger to push forward bend to the 15th fret. If u can do it, I'll show u the whole solo. I had played at clubs almost 500 times by requests. Believe me.
One more comment Gum. My version of the lead is not meant to be a lesson showing exactly how Don played his lead. Beginner guitar players can't pull that off yet so this is a little simplified as far as the bends go. I'd love to see a video of you playing Hotel California BTW.

I enjoyed this video, but I wish you would have demoed the version with all the bends,,,but thanks a lot, I got it down, maybe do a complete segment easy and one complete segment hard, you do kind of make a little confusion, but after the lick by lick tutorial I just cleaned it up with your demo segments, thanks again, you are the kind of teacher I could sit across from 4 or more times a week

Yep. I've been wanting to get around to the other leads in this song. It's a bit tricky because sometimes creator's videos get blocked when they play this song or teach it. I just edited another video that I did on teaching Hotel California because it was blocked in no less than 7 countries. The trick is to dance around the algorithm somehow. It's not easy. Ask Rick Beato.

IMO... If u need to break it down dat much, n even saying the easy version or harder version. I think the student is not really ready to learn n play this song with the required dexterity n feel, required to pull this song off, with its signature groove.

i play this but i use more string bending ..the notes are choppy not flowing into the next note
Bending is great. Doesn't work that great for a beginner though. They have to work their way into it.
