  • NOTE: Gasit advised me that the filler had to have a ground clearance of 22cm - my clearance is 30cm. If you don't have enough below your Moho then you'll need to make a hole in the bodywork. There are fittings for this option.
This is the full experience of researching LPG refillable gas tanks for Motorhomes/RVs, fitting the LPG gas tanks and filling them at an LPG filling station. The system was bought from Gasit and it included: 2 x 6 kilo gas tanks, a change over unit, bracket for the filler which was an internal model but fitted externally, all necessary pipes and fittings and an extra pipe, not in the kit, has been identified. You will see how I researched the LPG refillable tanks, the reason I went for Gasit refillable tanks, the whole fitting process in my Autocruise Starfire and finally filling and testing. This should give you the guidance you need to feel secure in fitting them yourself.

Thanks for posting this. very informative. Did you need to put any sleeving around the gas pipe where they passed through the sheet steel at the back of the gas locker?

I didn't need to because I put a screwdriver in the hole and pushed it so that it made the hole shaped, ie pushed back at the top and forward at the bottom so no sharp corners to press onto.
