Quick Note: This video was shot on a Panasonic GH5s which I was lent by Panasonic Germany for 4 weeks. Full disclosure, no money was involved! But in case you look into the description to see what gear I shoot on, be informed that they make indeed very nice cameras! Thanks!

I recommend using less smoothing serum when using Arcadian Matte Paste.
Try Shear Revival Amity texture spray has lots of healthy oils it gives you great texture but doesn't dry it out.
PS-with Amity a little goes a long way 4 or 5 spray is more than enough as long as your hair is damp before doing so.

I find that Arcadian is superior in hold and finished look in styled hair. O'Douds leaves a slight powdery white residue behind after styling while Arcadian does not. Arcadian has a healthier matte finish without leaving my hair dull looking. In my hair both products have just a slight tug -n- pull which I fixed by purchasing a cheap mist spray bottle (you can get from Target, Walmart , etc.) filling it with ordinary tap water, spraying 2-3 times in my hands after emulsifying hair product in my hands. Rubbing it all together to create a softer, smoother product which goes in my hair much easier. No need to purchase expensive oils and serums. This is not the same as styling in damp hair which gives your hair a different look. The slight water mist from these spray bottles mixed in your hands with emulsified product isn't enough to dampen the hair enough to change how the product behaves in your hair. It only smooths out the product enough for easier application in dry hair. If you prefer styling in dry hair, then this way is your best bet as it keeps the look you want better then oils & serums as they can make your hair look shinier than you want and weaken the effects of matte products in general.

Speaking as a person with fine hair not thin hair, I recommend that Arcadian matte paste should be used. I have both of the products in this video and o'douds matte paste did not work at all for my hair type. It didn't have enough hold, it didn't give me the look I wanted and said it would give me. On the other hand Arcadian matte paste gave me fantastic hold, thickened my hair and I would even get more thickness and volume the longer it's that in my hair. So say I just applied it and 10 minutes goes by, I now have almost another quarter to half inch in volume and double the thickness.

Great video Kai! I still haven’t had the chance to try either of these yet, so it was nice to see your take on both of them.

TDM Style judging from your videos, it’ll prolly give you tangled ends, but go for it. It gave me amazing results (arcadin matte paste)

2 must have products! Good for quiffed matte shine, hi volume..no so much for slicks. With that in mind, if you’re having trouble with these, then you’re using too much or not styling right. If you do do, this stuff is the shit!!!🔥💯

Great Vid. but i thought you mentioned in your another review that applying Odoud's matte paste in damp hair solves the difficult distribution. that method works for me. thanks
