I was diagnosed with pcos when I was 15. I hated metformin but it helps a lot! I am now diabetic because of the insulin resistance and I have been struggling so much. Just exercise, try to eat healthier, make sure you watch your mental health and love yourself ❤
Thank you for opening up about your pcos!

I have PCOS as well Shalom and it is manageable with proper nutrition and exercise. One of the things I would advise you to do is find out the root problem no one person is the same. You could use inositol instead of metformin and use a variety of supplements....Zinc, Omega 3, Inositol, evening primrose....Ohhh and keep checking your blood sugar levels...VERY IMPORTANT.

With metformin, you have to eat full healthy meals. The medicine is trying to regulate the sugars that give you fuel and if you are not putting in enough, it takes from your reserve and if your reserve is already low, you feel nauseated and get the classic hypoglycemic symptoms.

Hey, I was diagnosed with pcos and I was prescribed birth control & metformin. I tried it for a month or so but I didn’t like the sick feeling. So I started eating healthier and being more active, two years later I got pregnant which had never happened before ! A year after that I got pregnant again. Everyone’s journey & body is different however I recommend not taking the birth control or metformin ❤️

I was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2009 I didn't have any symptoms except the missing period. It didn't bother me until I started to have acne in 2020 and my LDL kept getting up. I knew they gonna prescribe me meds, I don't like pills. I decided to do home remedies for my PCOS this year. I feel completely different. Now, I have menstrual every month and no more acne. My cysts are shrinking to smaller sizes. I'm is so happy now I don't have to wear makeup to cover my face (acne). Research natural medicines. Metformin has a lot of side effects. I hope you feel better.

Whoa..40days on your cycle..girl I wouldn't know what to do. I am praying for you. I've never had that before.
I've been keeping track of my periods for years but for the last year, I have been keeping track using this app called Flo and I noticed that after I got the Moderna Covid shot that my periods began to get really really heavy and the days between my periods were starting to decrease less than 28 days. Now.. sometimes I dont even want to get out the bed. Pains everywhere, back pain, and leg pain. I suffer from migraines too and during my periods my migraines get worse. Luckily it only lasts for 4-5 days. BUT I do not regret getting the shot because the alternative is Death and I love living.
I am going to keep you in my prayers, keep us posted on your health sugar. Take care.

Sorry to hear about that boo. Did they check you for fibroids or polyps. And if you can change your health plan over to United health plan. You can choose any doctor you like. And did they tell you at Kaiser that they have an urgent care. Your condition was dire you could have gotten severely anemic and passed out and they should have gave you an appointment in urgent Care if anything would have happened to you your family could have sued them. A health plan is never supposed to deny a patient care. Kaiser has hospitals and outpatient clinics all over California and she could have referred you to a clinic or a doctor that would have seen you that was total BS. And with the metformin you've already experienced nausea that's good. Because with metformin you can also have diarrhea but yes it will make you nauseated.
