The things I love most about this performance are the small "mistakes" or inaccuracies, showing that Jon is human and adding new depths to the song, in contrast to the "Northern Film School"-recording, which is hauntingly flawless!

Still, he seems to play it so effortlessly. I also like how in 1:13 he just casually retunes the 5th string after noticing its out of tune.

This performance is also particularly slower in tempo. Some closeups (like the one at 2:22 or 5:51) shows a detailed view of his technique(s), and my toxic trait tells me I could attempt to learn this song😂

Watched Jon Gomm play this and others at St Mary’s Sessions in Pixham nr Dorking on Saturday night.
It was an amazing evening such a very talented musician.
