Exactly. In the past they used to make soffritto to add flavour when there was nothing to eat. But we use soffritto nowadays too because it's traditional
Delphina has an impish grin, she was so pleased with those double egg yolks! And on top of being a talented cook, what a gardener! That celery!!! Thanks again for giving me a wonderful start to my day with another one of your lovely videos!
Decades ago we used to keep chicken and my mother used to get so excited whenever she got double yolk eggs ! From her kitchen she called whoever was around to have a look ! Nothing like fresh eggs from your chicken!
These grannies are so freaking strong! I use my kitchenaid to stretch my pasta and that is is a lot of work! These grannies never needed a gym membership to stay fit! God bless them all!
Pasta Grannies is my favorite RUclips channel. I have one suggestion though. I would love to see these beautiful women’s wedding or graduation photos, whatever they are willing to share. What do you think?
The personality of Delphina is off the charts. What a sweetheart! The pasta dish she made is right up my alley. I would eat so much of what she made. AND I want to try her tozzetti cookies!!! Do Italian men realize how lucky and good they have it with these incredible hard-working women!! Marry me, PLEASE!
I love pasta grannies so much! Helps me cope with the loss of my beloved grandma who passed last September. Thanks to this channel, I get to vicariously experience having multiple grandmas 😊 I hope all grannies are well this pandemic! 🥰
When I think of pasta, this episode of PASTA GRANNIES comes in mind via my salivating glands & tummy growling, it just looks sooooo Authentic & Nonna made ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Oh my god!! I love angel hair so much! The sauce looks so simple but very well made too, god it must taste good. It looks so delicious~ thank you for sharing!
I've been watching all of the videos you kind folks have been posting. I can't resist this recipe! I'm going to make this one, for sure!! This will go great with the San Marzano Redorta tomatoes from my garden! A worthy recipe. :)
One year ago I subscribed to your channel. Since then I have not eaten store bought pasta or sauce. Thank you Miss Vicky for bringing these delightful ladies and their treasures into my home.
My Italian granny cooked like this. My memories are so sweet of her food. Every Sunday, big meal just like this. My granny would always say, “Its always about the tomatoes! Never canned!” To this day I can’t use a can of tomatoes without hearing her words. I’m loving these videos SO much!
Awww she made me fall in love with her kind and homy vibe. You truly wont be forgotten with your warm disposition (even i dont get to taste your dish). God bless you.
I would be so happy if someone made this for me right now. Just a small serve. I can honestly almost taste it. Imagine this for lunch, then a warm wet towel to wash all the ragu off from around your mouth and a then a nap in a stream of sunlight on a cold day. This channel always makes me want to fat and cosy ❤️
my favourite recipe, I think. I have learnt two new things in one video (blitzing the veggies like Laotian cuisine does, mixing minced and cubed meat). I love how they use the 1-Euro wine to cook, even when the world is watching them! Thanks!

I'm glad you're enjoying Pasta Grannies; the channel is popular with all age groups, but most popular with the 25-35 year old age range 😊🌺 best wishes, Vicky
@@pastagrannies Hey it's popular with us fiftysomethings too! My Sicilian grandma used to make a snack that seemed to essentially resemble a sweet roll, but was made with oregano and a very light brushing of red sauce. I have never been able to replicate it, as I have with many of her dishes. It's phonetic pronunciation is "Ah-Scotch-Ah" if my memory serves me right. It was only made for Christmas Eve. Does this sound familiar to anyone?? It would be a dream to be able to make this one Year. Thank You to each and every one of you who make this unbelievably amazing and charming channel with all of these absolutely adorable and brilliant ladies!!!
