The women on this channel have so much vitality. 80yrs for them is like 50yrs to the rest of the world. Amazing.
She's one badass granny. Chopping pumpkin with open toed shoes and an axe. 😁
Haaa!!! 👑👑👩🍳🥇
One of the most wholesome corners of the internet. It's like meditation making pasta. Must be their secret to stay young. Inspiring stuff.
Ada you are the definition of Woman. Confident, Intelligent and Elegant Bless you..
Wow! Ada doesn't look like she is 81. I noticed what good posture she has - I wonder what was her line of work. The massive sfoglia is amazing, too. All of these nonnas make it look so easy!
I think they mentioned she was a pig farmer.
She did look completely in charge and straight-backed as she was rolling out the dough. The news that she was a competitor was not surprising. Each dish I see brings me cravings but this dish in particular looks spectacular. Does Ada cook for visitors?
Yeah, she is a farmer, Italy was mostly a farmer culture in the past. Many of the recipes in Italy have a farmer's origin.
Everything has been said about Ada. I wanna say it myself: She is cool, quick, amiable, humble, virtuoso, full of gentle energy... Empress of pasta!
This is twice in the month that this brilliant woman has absolutely blown me away with her pasta artistry. She's an absolute marvel! I could watch video after video of her.
Where else?

Must be Friday. This is how I know I made it to the end of the week. Another great video.
God that looks delicious.
It was! 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
Not just the result of the finished dish delicious, the process of cooking it is full of love and respect... Thank you so much !!!
Ada is nothing less than a national treasure.
Bravissimi. Possibly the most sophisticaed pasta making I've seen on this channel. What an elegant lady. Hardly surprised me when you said she'd won an award!
🥰🥰🤗🤗👸👩🍳🏆🥇👑
Wow just amazing. I think I could watch them roll out pasta for days.
Ada is such a perfectionist. I love watching her work. She is so precise, clean and has so much wisdom. Her meals must taste amazing.
Nonna Ada, sei stupenda! Quando divento nonna faro anch'io la pasta fresca indossando i gioielli.
My god, she is gorgeous! ❤
The process of making the sfoglia was magnificent.. At that level it's like watching the creation of art.. So masterful..
The flavor combination of a sharp aged cheese like Parmesan and a sweet spice like nutmeg is something that dates back at least to the cooking of the Italian renaissance.
I had never heard of this combination! ( I put red peppers, and Hungarian Paprika in my tomato sauce, but, I eat less cheese and no meat.)
I'm going to try this combination with nutmeg!
Yes, my green eyed Italian grandmother always put a little nutmeg in meatballs and a similar butternut squash ravioli filling.
I hope I reach 81 years old and be able to do an incredible and difficult work like this, italian grannies are awesome
So full of knowledge! I love hearing stories about their lives too(:
The hanging rolling pins on the wall. VERY COOL. Pasta looks Amazing,
PASTA Grannies rocks...
I concur with Ada about the eggs! It makes a world of difference!! I love this channel!!!
This is the kind of perfectionism and attention to detail I saw in my mother and aunt and grandmother and great-aunts. The eggs mass produced are different from the ones your own chickens produce on a completely "clean" diet, both in size and albumin, so the amount of flour used will differ. One of my cousins moved to Switzerland. When his mother came to visit, she brought her own flour and eggs, mortadella, tomato passata, etc., but the tortellini still weren't perfect. Next time she brought the water for boiling them too. :) My husband always said he could never get used to what he called our "obsession" with perfection, but he has sure always loved the finished product.
Same thing said by my wife when I obsess over having ingredients from my hometown posted across the country while she'd be benefitting the most out of the obsession and agreeing later on!
thank you for sharing your memories - it's funny how water definitely makes a difference 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
Those eggs! I make homemade pasta and always wished it was that colour…so much more appetizing. Great job stretching that amazing dough!
She makes the best meals here with some much love and has an amazing recipe to it. Hi I'm David, nice to meet you!
Eggs are that color when they are very fresh. So try to get some at a farmer's market
I love how she’s all dolled up even when cooking.. what a strong beautiful woman! ❤
I bought your pasta grannies cookbook and am in the process of cooking my way through it. It is fantastic! Please come up with a second one as soon as you have collected more recipes! 👍🏻👍🏻
hi Maria, thank you for buying the book; there will be a second one published in September. 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
I like how everything she does has a reason and she fully understands that reason, she doesn't do anything just because that’s how she was taught. I've never seen anyone with a collection of Mattarello and rolling pins before, I just have the three, a 100cm Mattarello, a traditional British rolling pin and a 60cm French.
I love her humility. She says it's good in spite of everything... She's amazing!
These ladies are amazing and the food looks delicious!😊
An amazing lady and takes pride in her work .. beautiful!
That is hearty food! Ada is so elegant and confident
Ada looks gorgeous in her pink sweater.
Vicky, I love Ada's standards, methods and precise explanations. 5 stars 🌟! Regards Stephen.
As an Italian living in UK (and with a keen interest in cooking) I have to take my hat off to your videos. Love the fact that I always manage to learn something WHILST enjoying a state of deep fuzzy feeling ❤
I'm glad you like them! 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
Brava Signora! I love how the name of the shape of pasta changes with the region. My dad is from Emilia-Romagna and they call them tortellaci. Yum!
Well it must be a lie about Ada's age, you can take 25+ years off of that! she looks and cooks amazing and what ever her secret is I would love some. Ada please continue to shop at local shops, it is the best way and we need them. Thank you Vicky and team for a wonderful video. Ramon.
hi Ramon, Ada is fabulous! Thanks for your appreciation of Pasta Grannies 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
What a beautiful woman, and a beautiful place. Love the recipe.
I love her kitchen, sitting there while listen her story...so lovely ❤️
I cannot wait to try this! Always looking for pumpkin and pasta recipes. 😋 Thank you!
She makes the best meals here with some much love and has an amazing recipe to it. Hi I'm David, nice to meet you!
There are no words. Great recipe and execution. Brava Ada, you are the pride of Ferrara!
Grazie mille pasta grannies. 😘
Love from New Zealand ❤️
Thank you for this video! Squash or pumpkin filled pasta is my favorite, and I always wondered if they actually made it in Italy. Ada is amazing with that dough!
This channel is wonderful. It is great to save for posterity these wonderful traditional recipes. I hope international viewers realize how fresh, interesting, and imaginative Italian cuisine is, not what you find in commercialized restaurants in the US for example.
I am an American who lived in Siena Italy for study one year. The food was so gloriously fresh and flavorful, and when I returned to the States, I had those fresh flavors still in my palate. Months later, I attended an Italian Festival in a neighborhood in Chicago, but sadly was so very disappointed in what I had to eat. There were a lot of starchy offerings like thick crust pizza, spaghetti, and a few types of sandwiches with thick slices of pastrami, but nothing fresh or particularly good.
Warm comfort food! Could use some of that as the snow flies past my window. The lovely Nona reminded me of my grandma, who always knew the fine points f what she was doing.
How impressive! And brava to Ada for winning a pasta competition. A beautiful lady. The pasta looks so delicious 💐
This Cappellacci with Pumpkin recipe looks so delicious.
This type of food and the passion for the Italian cuisine and traditions would heal any disease.!
I just enjoy your videos. They are the perfect mixture of education, feeling at home, Italianita and history. Thanks a lot!
Our pleasure! 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
That is a remarkable sheet of pasta.
Add this to things I will never be able to do
Beautiful, elegant, expert. Thank you we love you.
81? God bless her, she looks amazing!
Bellissimo. Signora Ada complimenti, io abito lì vicino, quando vuole invitarmi a pranzo, molto volentieri. Scherzi a parte, brava davvero! E bravi voi del canale a dare visibilità a certe arti!
Hats off to this Lady!!
She is 81 but looks much younger
She makes the best meals here with some much love and has an amazing recipe to it. Hi I'm David, nice to meet you!
Lovely lovely lady. She looks so young. Bravo!
That must taste amazing!
Imagine the recipes out there that we DON'T know about...

This video is exactly the wholesomeness I needed after the week I've had.
Wow, wonderful dish. What I loved was ada and her prada bag. You go girl 👏
good spot, I hadn't noticed.🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky
( I love Prada, too [ although I could never afford to buy that brand]. I think Prada is still a small company, and family owned?)
Astonishing skill!
You will be ready for another book, soon. I loved your latest one.
My mum just turned 87 today, it's been years since she's made pasta at home but she'll regularly make gnocchi - my zia, her sister is more of a pasta maker.
7 pasta, rollers hanging in the back... She means business
I love #PastaGrannies!
WOW! really amazing to watch this. Looks delicious. This region in Italy is magic!
I almost cried watching her fill each individual cappellacci
LOVE LOVE LOVE MY PASTA GRANNIES
Rockstar Pasta Grammie!!
She should have a cooking show
what a stylish perfectionist sfoglina lady!
Brava!!! Maestra!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✨🙌🏻✨❤️
Brava Ada E viva la cuchina Italiana
That looks wonderful, and those sausages to die for, actually, of course I mean to live for.
God bless her 🙏
You are amazing, thank you very much
Ricetta buonissima...grazie Ada da Ada provincia di Lodi...
why does it look like she's cooking in a school kitchen? (i love u Ada)
Inspiring...love it!
Ms. Vicky, once again a great video with the dear soul Ms. Ada, we would have many variations to this recipe here in Appalachia, this most significant one would be the use of the pumpkin( our pasta is more simple also) & although we tend to like it more in a dessert ie: pie, pudding, etc... we opt for the squashes for supper, butternut, spaghetti, acorn, etc...it is very delicious though & our sausage can be nearly the same, but there are many varieties depending on availability, God Bless all, please stay safe
hi Steve, I think sausage and pumpkin is one of the those classic combinations, and I love all the different varieties. 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky

Ada sei fantastica!!!! ❤️💖💕👏👏👏👏
Man, this looks so delicious
Wonderful!
Beautiful!
Please learn about soffritto, is really one of the most important things about Italian sauces: celery, onions, and carrots, it is what gives consistency and a great taste to many Italian dishes.
Love the Chanel but the sub titles are impossible to see because they are in white. Grazie ciao franco
simple fantastic
What a charming voice
While some of these women are really amazing, they are not as unusual as Italian women go (at least the generation up to the age of my mother, that is she is not in her 70s).
Italian mothers are amazing chefs that could put to shame some of the best Michelin star restaurants.
