    Ok so maybe I’m dumb and can’t figure this out. But if they can only use stuff available to the public then why can’t we buy those continentals and only can be used by pros?

    • @LindseyH24
      @LindseyH24 2 года назад

      I think it's related to them using latex tubes with the tubular tyre

    • @CB-rk1qc
      @CB-rk1qc 2 года назад

      To test it, also probably takes a long time to manufacture and build up stock so they give the first ones to the pros. Also could be enough ready for everyone and just to build hype for the realse but I think it's the first one I said.

    wait, if the tyre isn't available to the general public, then is it UCI legal? I thought the components must be available to the general public to be considered UCI legal, no?

      Indeed. But don't forget the pros ride tubulars. So if you build the same bike with clinchers you might end up 200-300g higher

      @@marcelr.9035 can confirm this, my mechanic told me one day when servicing my bike he couldn't work out what was wrong with my brakes, last thing he thought was the simplest of actions, try the other brake😂
      Run my rear to the right shifter! Always have personally, but he said 95% of his customers (in Aus) run in the other way

    Pinarello makes me laugh. They tout the availability of a rim brake version of this model but either way you go (rim or disc), it’s electronic shifting only. Was going to buy one of these until I found that out. Nothing will stop me from using Campy mechanical. Pinarello can suck it.

    Why don't they make the bike right on the limit 6.8kg? That's what a team like Inoes should be doing my bike is a 6.5kg de rosa with mid depth wheels don't understand why they would make a high level rider carry around a extra 0.4kg?
