Cheers again to Graham for the jersey! Also you know it's school holiday mode at Two Cents Rugby HQ when I'm recording a video with a smudge of Nutella chocolate spread on my face from my daughter's "daddy can you have the last piece? I can't finish it" breakfast.....
I was watching the KOKO rugby podcast TRC reaction and the host Prof says he likes a whiteboard. I suggested a collaboration in the comments! Because Mark is the rugby man with a whiteboard!
Enjoy it mark, Cheers Graham
Cheers man! 😁
5:55 Good point regarding the logistics but the Super Rugby needs a bit of cutting edge and test feel to it. Cheetahs and Jaguares would add that.
Seeing the Superugby logo is so nostalgic. I bought the last Sharks jersey that had it on. And it’s the Marvel collab one which makes it even cooler with the Black Panther. I have to frame it. It’s a piece of history at this point😂
Matthew Jelly Bear.
He's a great player these days. I wonder wbat he's up to?
Still playing for Bordeaux I believe mate
@@TwoCentsRugby Ah, I see. Good for him. Too bad his good friend Melvin Jam-inade has had to take an extended break....
Mark & Wildcard are my fav for sure! he is soooo funny and even tho he is a wallabie supporter and mark is an ABS supporter probebly the most unbiased commentators on the game and just got a great sense of dad humour that everyone can get around, with quite alot of sarcastic truth facts that even one eyed fans will agree on even if it is against there own team. That is what i call great content creators right there.
Keep it up mate!
As much as I like wildkard for the entertainment/cringe value he isnt close to being objective, far too emotive.
Therugbyanalyst on the other hand is pretty solid with objectivity
I'm still waiting for a Mark & Wildkard colab!
Me too, subscribed to both.. Fantastic rugby acumen🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾i also like Eggchasers, he also good🔥🔥🔥
Good stuff TC. That Glasgow jersey looks nice. Now if only they could play some decent Rugby.... I notice that you only briefly mentioned the WXV tournaments which are taking place in Canada at the moment. Can't think why you skimmed over those games......
Lol I even mentioned THAT result in the poddy with Tony and in yesterday's rankings vid 😅
As far as I know the security was a mix of professional security people and the local rugby club.
Those pitch invader takedowns were hilarious 😂
Regarding Cheetahs. I have an example of it in USA. We had American Raptors out of Denver Colorado leave MLR and go and play Super Rugby Americas last season. They stopped due to logistics and the expenses that go along with it. I think Cheetahs in Super Rugby would be intriguing.
I'd be happy to see the cheetahs join SR and perhaps another hybrid team (made up of the other Currie Cup teams, Pumas, Griquas and Griffons).
There is more than enough talent in SA to create competitive teams, if the funding exists and the travelling can be navigated.
Thanks Mark. I love the guy suplexing people at the end!
Yeah I personally found it quite entertaining 😅
Thanks again for all you hard work Mark, I’m in 2nd week of school holidays! Gees it’s hard work 😂
Yeah I'm three days in and feeling it ... 😂
No you are not wrong. If you do stupid things while drunk, any hurt you get yourself into is on you
Glad it's not just me 😅
Pretty sure the plan would be for the Cheetahs and possibly another SA club to base themselves in Aus, like they base themselves in Netherlands for the Challenge Cup. There's enough expats that they'll probably draw some decent crowds
Yeah I saw Perth as the rumour... but Perth doesn't exactly blow the attendance numbers out of the water... be interesting if it happened... would there be enough people get behind it (I know the powers that be assumed the Pacific community in Auckland would suddenly support a new Moana Pasifika team when established - but fun fact - no)
@@TwoCentsRugby think the big thing is more politics between SARU and the Cheetahs actually, as Frans Steyn has said rugby politics is very fickle. As for attendances, I guess it depends on how many expats feel incredibly home sick, we saw a lot of people go out for the Boks games, I'd expect they could a lot of those supporters who can't watch the URC live often
If the Cheetahs do go back to Super Rugby, to mitigate the logistics, they can base the team in Perth for the duration of the competition.
Thanks again for all you hard work Mark, I’m in 2nd week of school holidays! Gees it’s hard work 😂
The only way the cheetahs get back into super rugby is to make a tour to SA 'worth it' by having more than one game. To that end I think teams like the Pumas and Griquas could also be added to make it a three week tour for NZ, Aus, Fiji and Samoan teams. All three the teams I've mentioned have won the Currie cup in recent years which include the bulls, sharks, lions and stormers (as western province) so they are all good enough to be competitive. Cheetahs could actually do better than just be competitive.
I hope something like this realises as it can only benefit the nations involved with travel being the only obvious down side but like we've seen with the northern teams, you can get around this by building a large squad that you can rotate.
Yep for sure, super round in Ellis park every year. They insulted the comp by having it in Melbourne consecutive years. I would almost consider a visit to south Africa if I got to watch three games in one day in a stadium like that and repeated the following day
The only way it will work is to base in Australia or New Zealand for the Rugby season which wont be financial variable for them.
Perhaps the Cheetahs could base themselves closer to the coal face, and if they reach the playoffs, they could, depending on log position, play in Bloem, a strong Cheetahs team would help keep home grown talent (Grey College), in the fold, and would keep the interest in Super rugby growing in SA.
Wonderful commentary.
They are talking about basing the Cheetas in Perthfontein
Yeah I heard the same rumour.... what would Cheetahs fans think though I wonder
@@TwoCentsRugby Any Rugby is better than no rugby, but I'm sure a few of them would demand the tournament moved to SA to suite them better.
As a South African..don't invade the pitch!!!!
Keep up the good work. Always much appreciated
Happy with the URC and Premiership better than SR !
How to make super rugby work/worth it for south africa? Base super round there and then let the respective home team/teams host another two consecutive home games prior or after super round
Thanks Mark
No worries!
Do you think the Cheetahs are trying to force themselves in to URC by saying they want to join SR? I just don't get how anyone would care enough to watch them if they are not even based in RSA most of the time.
Big shoutout to the Irish women's team. They are absolute dogwater at the moment. In a dreadful place compared to 10 years ago. and to spring the shock of all shocks against New Zealand's Black Ferns in Vancouver was a result no-one saw coming.
And I chose not to go to it. What a wasted opportunity....
Any chance of a team up with Eggchasers Tim during the end of year tour?
Eggchasers x Two Cents, would be great!
Yeah we almost got something going when England toured NZ! It'll happen one of these days
1 chap ate the pitch 😂
Big time!
Cheeters to Super Rugby? Where do they sign!?
Cheetahs have always been my favourite SA team, but having just the cheetahs would be kinda mad. I know the URC is in great nick at the moment, but surely we could share south Africa. If SA at one point could have 6 teams in super rugby, surely we can have 3 in super rugby and 3 in the urc.
That Cheetahs team - Andries Strauss, Conie Oosthuizen, Boom Prinsloo, Sarel Pretorius, Willie le Roux etc - absolutely my favourite
It was hilarious! 🎉😂
Caleb Clarke has to play at 12
Matthew Jelly Bear 😂
I wouldn't think it would be worth doing making a team play host home games in another country wouldn't work in option became most cheetahs/jaguars fans wouldn't be able to go to the country plus regarding jaguars they would have to start from day 1 with most of the team that was in the original team playing in Europe etc. Plus, remember it would be unfair for the other teams that play super rugby americas
Rugby Ascendant. Give him a mention. Wonderful commentary.....AND HE'S A YANK!
Ah man these were just ones that RUclips tells me people are watching - but yeah the bearded fella! Does good stuff
Super Rugby needs SA teams so I’d welcome them back
Yeah I do think we miss that, lots of players have said the same
Getting some SA teams like the Pumas. Cheetahs involved is a great idea.
U don't seem to cover npc. Tasman v Auckland shield match tonight.
Any reason? Just no click interest?
Yeah I did NPC stuff years ago and they didn't get any views sadly. Can't see Auckland winning given the year we're having... But you never know - still pretty even at the moment
@@TwoCentsRugby gotta concentrate on what the audience wants, mate. Yup, cheering for Tasman. It's weather for ducks, so could be very tight finish
Yeah I try to still get some "less prominent" stuff out like the Pacific Nations Cup recently for a bit of balance.
Man we're still in this one....
one to watch
Sorry but cheeters? Nah bro, not good
