You guys look great in the Tibetan costumes. Talking about Tibet let me use this opportunity to bring awareness to the oppression of Tibetans. No, I am not talking about the Tibetans in China. I am talking about Tibetans in occupied South Tibet, which was annexed by India in 1951 and made a state by India in 1987 to become the so-called Arunachal Pradesh. Tawang, South Tibet was invaded and annexed by India in February 1951. Tawang is the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama and home to the four hundred years old Tawang Monastery. The Tibetans in occupied South Tibet are fast becoming strangers in their own native homeland because the Indian government is settling Indians in the region to change the demographic structure of the region. The Indians like to mock them, calling them Chinese as a form of insult (sometimes calling them names such as the C* word or the M* word.) Rape by Indians in occupied South Tibet is a major source of resentment of the locals to the Indian occupiers. Another thing is that India simply doesn't trust the locals and likes to accuse them of being Chinese spies if they don't display enough loyalty to the Indian occupier. This area is tightly controlled by India with limited access to the outside world. In 2014 a Tibetan Chinese called Nido Tania went to Delhi and was beaten to death because he looked 'Chinese'. His case was hardly an isolated one. Rape by Indians is a major source of tension in South Tibet against India. Today South Tibet is restless, and India knows it. This is the reason AFSPA (Armed Force Special Powers Act) is imposed on South Tibet. AFSPA dates back to colonial times when the British were running South Asia. AFSPA gives India the power to detain or kill anyone with impunity. AFSPA is imposed on regions India deemed 'disturbed,' such as Kashmir and South Tibet. The Tibetans in occupied South Tibet are voiceless people because they are not the right kind of Tibetans, so their plight is ignored by the world at large. I have yet to hear from the Western media of any concern about human rights abuse of the Tibetans in occupied South Tibet by India. Free South Tibet from India.

I rode a bicycle from Kunming to Lhasa in 2015. So I suggest you take some anti-altitude sickness medicine now, and prepare some on the road, and go in slowly from the Yunnan-Tibet line. There are many amazing places inside. I ate 52 bowls of noodles in Yanjing.

Very beautiful dress, perfect with the grand Monastery. Many years ago some part of the Chongdian village was burned down, the caused was portable heater left over night. They rebuilt it nicely.

Before going to Xizang, I suggest you take some Rhodiola to help you overcome altitude reactions. Be careful when you come to Xizang. Don't worry about taking a bath. Cold is very dangerous

Welcome to Shangri La. I highly recommend the nearby Meili Snow Mountain, which is the highest peak in Yunnan. The huge and continuous peaks are like blades, and I personally think they are much more magnificent and gorgeous than the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. At sunrise, there is a dazzling golden mountain landscape here.
Another recommended scenic spot is Lugu Lake, which is one of the most dreamy lakes in Yunnan. It is like a jade plate surrounded by mountains, and I personally think it is much more beautiful than Erhai Lake. There are many beautiful scenic hotels by the lake, and you can also experience the local ethnic minority customs🥰
Go to Shangrila's Meili snow mountain, it's one of the most beautiful snow mountain in China. And, it's the snow mountain referenced by Lost Horizon.
Taz could easily pass for an Inuit from northern Canada..similar facial features and very similar native dress. Pretty amazing!
