@@Slurreful To be fair, that delicious crab is one of the few times an American restaurant Ramsay visited impressed him. Same with a clam chowder bowl at The Handlebar
This has got to be the single most unlikeable owner, if not person I have ever had the displeasure of witnessing. Karen was honestly wondering why her restaurant was taking action against by "organized anonymous people trying to take it down", while she didn't even question whyever people would do that after she pretty much just pissed on their doorstep trying to monetize everything she could. Not a single honest sign of regret anywhere in the entire episode. Everything went just as planned for her, she got all the positive press she could ever have hoped for. This is the first time I actually felt sad when I red in the comments that this restaurant is still running.
Narcissistic sociopath, basically. Such a repellant person - what kind of mind comes up with the idea of trademarking a generic term of endearment, that she knows is part of the local colloquial language, and can't see why it would make people hate her?
The thing is she wasn't honestly wondering, she knew why. She lied to Gordon and tried to twist the situation from the second he asked about it. The look she gave after he said that he did his own research made that part blatantly clear to me. That wasn't a "oh, what did you find out?" type of expression, that was an "oh no I've been caught" expression. Pair that with backtracking, changing the story and defensiveness and you get a good feel of her intentions. Even her employees were worried that she would put on a facade, so they know what she's capable of. Then you see her cry on the radio, saying "please forgive me" until they ask if she'd take back the trademark. All of a sudden the tears disappear for a minute. She was hoping that "please forgive me" would make people rush to comfort her without her needing to change anything. She even straight out said nothing was going to get in her way, including Gordon. This entire episode gave the vibe of employees that love the restaurant and a boss that is making each step harder. I'm glad things turned around for the business, and I really hope that the remorse she showed was real and not extra manipulation. Ultimately it seemed like she gave up the trademark only because she knew that there was no other option. Gordon works miracles but if the town is refusing to eat there then they wouldn't have a chance
I want to thank whoever's uploading these videos. This show is a huge opportunity to learn deeper about english language. I have very little faith in humanity left but I will say this: human redemption is something to be seen and Gordon is so good at bringing the lost back to the light.
Denise's " transformation" is really undermined when you see how easy it was for her to try and bullshit Gordon I'm not convinced she has changed at all. she just used the show to repair her public image and improve her menu.
a very clever woman, the level of publicity she manages to generate is crazy, kitchen nightmares, gordon, radio, tv. 100% guaranteed there isnt a local who doesnt know her name or her restaurant. the entire copyright was a play for keeping up her profile just as was giving it up. probably the most savy business owner on any of these episodes, and she scored a free restaurant make over. next level.
Feel like she played a big con on everyone with this.. that she realized she wasn't going to capitalize on everything the way she thought she could, and was desperate to turn it around. This is definitely the best show ever like fuck man I just sit here watch these all day long Gordon Ramsay’s one of the only real people left in today’s world.
The problem with the chips on the fish and chips is she was using the wrong potatoes. The sugar content was too high so they will burn easily. They're probably greasy because they turn the temperature of the oil down too low to try to stop them burning. As for the fish, it was probably that they cooked the fish from frozen, that's why it curled, the drastic change in temperature, that's also maybe why the batter didn't stick properly because they're battering a frozen fish fillet.

Boy ohh boy, you are not ready to hear about Amy's Bakery 😂
@@allthingstoallmen8912 Amy might be a weird bitch, but at least she's not hiding it! xD

Definitely the most dramatic makeover, shows Gordon (our his team) understands what the restaurant was going for, rather than just a generic makeover
