That ring manages to maintain a classy and timeless appeal despite the massive quantity and size of the diamonds involved. That is impressive. I appreciate that the halo diamonds are not particularly large, so that feature doesn't overwhelm the appeal of the central canary diamond. Beautiful work.
Nice. I can imagine your working day goes quickly when you're immersed in creating a stunning piece with such elegance. Looking forward to the next video.
These are such FACTS!! YOU'RE about to BLOW up! This is going VIRAL!!! Video quality is amazing, You're getting better with camera presence and really in a great niche. Continue to use macro camera angles and in HD quality, and speaking as if you're instructing. A1 Material!
What an amazing diamond and process. I have some truly spectacular designs that I'd like to see made into jewellery one day that would test Bobby's skills to the limit: but he has the talent to make them.
So crazy, few years back the last jewellery high school was closed here in my country and now the profession is quite popular on YT. I'm glad to see that.
That yellow diamond is a real beauty Bobby! How do you fuse everything so perfectly? You’ve obviously got really steady hands and precision. Now that is talent!❤️
First I saw Pablo Cimadevila's works with this yellow diamond and thought he is the best, but it seems now I found who probably inspired him, it's YOU! great work! You're the Master!
Very nice to see how a fellow goldsmith goes about the manufacturing process. There are so many ways to make the same article and no two goldsmiths will employ the exact same process. Kudos on a job well done!
Very much so, I agree, and very satisfying to see the finished product of so many hours of work. Bobby's work (top shelf) is maybe what 5% of the custom jewelers quality work is. Lots of very bad, poorly made, jewelry out there.
Most jewelry is sold at a significant markup regardless of the production method and origin of the stones involved. The majority of jewelry sold isn't crafted from raw stock in this method, but is instead made via the lost wax casting method, which allows the jeweler to create a single buck for the ring, earrings, bangle, etc, then create a silicone mold of it, cast wax into that mold, then create a tree of wax jewelry to be surrounded in plaster. Melt out the wax and you get your hollow mold. Fill that mold with molten silver or gold and you've got your jewelry roughs. Break the mold, remove the excess metal, polish up the castings, set your gemstones, and you're ready to get it marked and sold. The method Bobby uses, though, is far more labor intensive and that can drive up the price of the finished piece. Is it worth it? I guess that's for the buyer to decide.
WOW!!! What a stunning ring!!! Your hand is so steady.I love how you put the yellow gold around the fancy yellow diamond..I wish I would have got my ring made but you.Your a master craftsman.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I came to your talk at the Goldsmiths Centre on Tuesday and thought it was inspiring. Please keep doing what you're doing and making these videos! no one else here is doing them and its great to see someone actually making jewellery from start to finish. A big inspiration for a new designer so thank you!!
Thank you for coming to the talk, it was good to share some of our stories and how we work. Really glad you found it inspiring and you enjoy these videos. Talk soon, Bobby 😊
What kind of Flux is that you're using for the soldering? Does it eliminate the need for pickling? I've not yet worked with silver. Also, look at that tiny pitch pot! I love it!
Hi Bobby, I love the video and I am so glad that I watched it. I just have one question could you please tell me what is the name of this tool ? @ 7:14
in 8.10 Minutes you can finished a Custom Diamond , In my country gold smith shop takes 2 weeks to do simple stone ring.... You are professional man....
Love your videos. My only wish for additional content is that I could see the customer reaction to the finished product, especially those where you’ve “fixed” bad settings.
Very nice!! Detailed and hand fabricated. Very organized and efficient. Couple questions? 1. The under gallery for the center. Why not design, scribe and pierce a cool pattern? 2. The center metal composition. Do you mix higher Karat based on stone being Vivid, Intense, etc., and is the inside of the center closed for color enhancement or open? I guess its more than a couple questions, my bad! Good talent to be able to make your jewelry and set in all applications. Very cool!!
Thank you. Yes when I started in Jewellery in 1999, most Jewellery in Hatton Garden was handmade in the garden. I would be surprised if it was as high as 10% now
I’m pushing u through social media sir...u need 5 million likes and subscribers...let’s go! U do beautiful beautiful work. My wife was mesmerized last night watching u make that articulating custom platinum and diamond 💍 encrusted ring...wow!
It's very expensive and time consuming. Materials aren't the bulk of the cost, when you start out. It's the vast amount of equipment. The rolling mill, the solder set up, the jeweler bench, the pitch, the flex shaft, the polishing set up, etc. So, like, if you look at his rolling mill, he has a Durston. That's a couple thousand dollars, right there. What you'll want to do, if you are genuine, is see if you can sign up for some classes, which will allow you access to equipment to use until you can get some equipment of your own. Get a feel for the art. Make sure it is something you are willing to put the time and money into. Because, if it isn't for you, it's a lot of money you'd be spending. There are so many metalworking techniques, which is why I absolutely fell in love with it. I adore it.
U r a genius Sir, I absolutely enjoy ur technique and attention to detail… I know u r about quality and not mass-production. Keep making em! I’m looking at one of ur men’s Cuban 8 inch bracelet...
What a gorgeous yellow diamond! I'm not a big fan of halo rings but, that ring is stunning! ❤💍💎 I really liked that you explained things you were doing. I found another jewelry making channel but, he doesn't do this. I find this a bit disappointing. Just subscribed & signed up for notifications 😊
RUclips suggests I watch engagement ring making, emotional wedding videos and wedding dress shopping Facebook suggests wedding venues and online ring shops Instagram keep suggesting and giving me adds for engagement photos, venues and wedding planners Idk if it’s a cruel joke lmao since I’ve been single for like 10 years and don’t even have a single prospect how awkward.... lol

This is what my dream engagement ring looks like!!!! Keep up the good work!!
A lengthier 360 slo-mo look at the finished ring would have been nice.
Thanks for the feedback. This is something we now do in our newer videos.
Yes, very much agree!

honestly
probably because he doesn't interact with his supporters. ( other similar channels interact more and kinda appreciate the audience )
@@MPD90 I see what you mean.. I guess I was wrong.. :) but I really like his work and I wish him the best he is talented and thank you Mike.
All the different steps, many tools and your talent add up to an exquisite ring.
What a beautiful yellow diamond!

I'm glad to see that.
I love those cinematics in the video
I think more of the close-up cuts. That's where the major pleasure comes from with these genre of videos ( how things are made)

Modern yet classic...his motion ring is brilliant.

Am I the only one finds his videos very soothing?
i see why they cost so much now, it's a lot of work put into it
Very much so, I agree, and very satisfying to see the finished product of so many hours of work. Bobby's work (top shelf) is maybe what 5% of the custom jewelers quality work is. Lots of very bad, poorly made, jewelry out there.
rambull Jr diamonds aren’t really expensive if we’re talking about finding them but buying them off someone id say that yellow diamond was around 6-8k
