Tbh this is nothing special from a craftsmanship standpoint, this is what literally every jeweler(is that the right word?) does. However i do think that the Cinematography of the video is amazing and the message that it sends.

I came across this video while looking for art projects for my daughter and bird videos. I usually skip right over them to find what I am looking for, but the second I saw the title and began watching the unbelievable skill and passion this man has for his craft, I couldn't stop watching. It is magnetic, and intoxicating to just sit and admire true artistic greatness, which is being so undervalued in our world today. And THAT is why I want my 13 year old artistic daughter to see masters like you. To know there are and to seek out the artists who have true love for their skill and for the people to whom they provide a wonderful service. Never stop dreaming, never stop believing. @@cliveconrad6460 I mean generally yes as it involves taking piece of metal (now I can imagine working with a nut is much harder then most metals used in ring making) and cutting/filing it down in order to bring it to shape

Now I understand why jewelry is expensive
this is not a typical way jewelry is made .. this is hand made with some modern tool help but still way more laborious than traditional jewelry now a days

@@r7blue a lot of jewelry is still made this way, just not with that much wasted metal, but in this case it was for a challenge and fun. sure a lot of modern jewelry is designed in cad, some is printed directly into metal and some is printed into a model that is molded and then cast, but there is just no substitute for handmade especialy when it comes to high end jewelry.
and even with cad and printing - it still takes time and skill. but what we see above? IS traditional jewelry. even with printing, a lot of the techniques that he uses, are used to clean up the casting, to set the stone.

to elaborate - you are only seeing highlights of the full process, you would be bored to tears if you had to watch the entire thing without most of it ending up on editing floor, figuratively speaking.
