In the videos description will be important information to a question a lot of you have posed, “where do I get your chalk pastels?” I’ve put in links so you can shop for them if you don’t already have them. Also please please pretty please share this in your doll groups on Facebook or anywhere honestly. I really want these techniques to be shown, and not gate kept. And also have the knowledge on how you can spruce up a doll you just received, or even had! I get so happy to see our community is growing! I welcome everyone who’s here!! I appreciate you all so much!! Thank you for being here!!
Storage box tannins and white mildew. Long story short: played with with some dirty fingers for a time and then tossed into a box and likely left in a moist attic or garage for decades. The finger goo attracted the *stuff* to her. I'm shocked she still had her original bow! I'm really loving your restorations. They're like double nostalgic for me. 🥰🥰
I can not believe you've only been uploading your videos since April! I'm so glad I've come across your channel. My favourite Barbie I had was Hula Barbie, I loved how posable she was. I don't think I was a huge Barbie fan as a kid, I mostly had a lot of My Little Ponies and I loved the Sylvanian Family play sets.
Denture Cleaner is another good one to use to soak the whole body in to eliminate the darkness! They soaked here over night Watched another video who did this! Looked like good results. Yours turned out beautiful!
She turned out beautiful! I never had one. Mine was the #7 ponytail. Guess I was too old to trade up lol. Still have her along with #1 Ken, Midge, Alan, Skipper, Skooter & Ricky. All in excellent condition & displayed in a glass case. Getting ready to put together a 1978 A Frame Dreamhouse to display them in. I had a 1964 cardboard Dreamhouse. It was the 2nd one that Mattel made. It somehow got destroyed in my parents attic. Oh well, now they are moving up to a 1978 home. Can’t wait to get started! Loved your video.
The Chocolate Bon Bon TNT was my favorite Barbie. Replacing her started me on a journey buying vintage dolls on EBay. I had no clue how to restore a doll, so I just bought the '97 reproduction. Your green ear video gave me confidence to buy actual vintage dolls. I have now watched all your tutorials, and subscribed. I learned so much about Barbie history from you, and have new respect for my old Tammy doll (not replacing her, though). 1966 Francie and Bubble Blonde Barbie are on the way. ❤🎉 Bubble is arriving naked, so of course I had to buy some vintage clothes (dirty, crumpled ones). The worst case scenario is they will serve as patterns for OOAK fashion 😅
I am a doll collector, Have been for most my life, except for the 4 times I tried the whole relationship thing. I have A LOT. I am currently cleaning up and organizing my house so I can Continue with my you tube Channel and Share my collection with other doll fans. I have most my childhood dolls except for a few that were wrecked by the flood of '97 and some that were stolen and I was unable to replace as the price had gone up to collector price. I didn't toss my dolls away that were wrecked in the flood... my parents tossed everything. I was so distraught. but I have a shed full, a garage with dolls, a basement full and well let's just say there are dolls everywhere that need to have their own room for display (I'm working on it). I love seeing you fix dolls I try to do the same but you are at Pro level I am at Noob or I tried my best level. Lol You do amazing work!
Aww thank you! You have quite an interesting history with your collection! And I’m so sorry some of your collection was affected by a flood:( that’s no good! I’m so happy to have you here, and I hope you have so much fun here!!
She turned out amazingly beautiful. I am still quiet new to doll customizing. What keeps me from going ahead, is always the waiting time for MSC to dry. Those forced breaks.. I am so unpatient..I did not know that you could work in the pastel pigments I to the vinyl without fixing. That makes me wanna try it on a Shadow High doll (Rose) to take the purple undertone out of her skin and make her more natural, so she fits into my Rainbow high lineup. I only own 9, do not have the urge to get more of them. I prefer Barbie. Mostly I want redheads. ;)
The work you put into these videos is impressive. The editing …15 seconds in and two edits! You’re underrated. So funny, but still well informed. Your channel is going to grow. 🙂
Hi Ms. Disney Barbie Girl, I've been watching all of your barbie restoration and learned so many things about on how to take care of doll... Can I ask a question? Is the the pastel method you use to make doll don't look like yellow is applicable to the modern barbie heads? Like around 2009 where mattel uses a lot of glue for barbie. I wonder if it can help to remove the shine and greasy feels to it?
Wow, what a difference a good scrub makes 😮😄 It’s fascinating watching you recolour her face. She looks fabulous! 😍 Thank you again for sharing your process and commentary 🥰 It’s interesting how much less hair some of the vintage dolls have compared to later Barbies. I actually prefer less hair, faster to reroot too 😅
She looks fantastic!! I love your pastels technique! And I got such a kick out of the vintage mag photos of blue eyeshadow. New subscriber. Can't wait for more! ❤❤
I can’t wait until this channel blows up! One of my absolute favorite doll RUclipsrs . Idk if you’ll ever see this but what size paint brushes do you use for the repaints
Love the fun inserts, but wow she came out so beautifully!!! I just got my first Trade-In TNT Barbie. She is in rough shape, but will clean up nicely. Thanks for sharing ❤
@@rogerlloyd1897 well thank you so much!!! I’m sure you will get her looking beautiful like new. I have 4 more tnt dolls to restore. One is particularly exciting beacause she has her box!!
@@disneybarbiegirl615 oh wow!!! I recently acquired 25 new dolls... my credit card is a bit bruised, but I got my hands on some TNTs, Bubbles, a few clones, and a Miss Barbie. She has been on my WL for years. I still need a Swirl at some point lol.
Wonderful job ~ as always! However, I noticed that you didn't touch up her arms (not that they really needed it after cleaning) but have you used the same technique on dolls arms before? I know it's a different type of plastic from the heads, so I'm curious.
Since the plastic is different, you’d have to dye them. It’s an extra step you can take, however, I find that they fade back anyway, and dying them is harder to control than pastels. Which won’t hold onto the arm. I’d rather them be this way, as they’ll be in clothes anywho, and I won’t have to worry about it.
Thank you for your videos. What have you found to be the best method for removing green ear on vintage Barbies? I have tried Removes It by Twin Pines and CLR with various outcomes. Right now I am working on a #4 ponytail and it is going slow. Just wondering what you have tried. If you have a video on that I would love to watch it. Thanks.
Love this restoration it might be one of my favorites you have made recently 🤩🤩 and I'll be sharing this video on Facebook ASAP I am crying over the this is the only color reveal on this channel 😅
I picked up a blonde TNT today at the flea market. She's in good condition with all her lashes. She has yellowing of head and arms and fading of nail/toe polish. Super excited! I paid $2.99! I was like what?!!! Yes please
I've been looking for the cellophane tubes for Barbie heads. Is there a special term for that and sizing for the tube to fit around the head? Thanks again. Also, wonderful work as always. You've helped me restore a few of my beauties 🥰
@disneybarbiegirl615 Ah, thank you so much! I adore your work! How do you melt them together to create the tube? If you dont mind me asking 😁 Thank you

TYSM! I was literally about to ask this! I love your videos sm! I’ve watch every single one! 💝
I just ordered a set of masters touch pastels from Hobby lobby. Hopefully soon I can start recoloring some of my mod gals.
Oh wow she turned out so good!!
So so so very pretty! 😍
Thank you so much! I'm glad you like her makeover!
