Lisa Simpson yeah, kind of redundant. But I guess you could cut the blue and red parts of the glasses out and put them in your pencil pouch to use, or your pocket. And with the gum one, out it in your mouth before class starts, and if it runs out during the test do the yawning trick. Grab the piece of gum out of your pocket, pretend you're yawning and put it in your mouth. And if your class isn't allowed gum, then that sucks.

To everyone who's in middle, high, or elementary school, I'll be a freshman in college this year. There were times I got super disappointed and upset at school and felt really alone, my best advice to people younger than me is to just find something you enjoy and find other people who like the same thing. And the people who go to school with you are NOT the only ppl in the world. You'll meet nice ppl, and you'll survive

REAL BACK TO SCHOOL HACKS/TIPS (these are good)
1.Put EFFORT into your work, if you're gonna do something, do it to the best of your ability
2. Do your HOMEWORK, just do your fucking homework, you're capable of doing it, just do your fucking homework
3. I don't think anyone fucking studies, and they still get good grades. Studying might make you even more nervous because you could be overwhelmed by all problems/answers you need to observe. Study if you NEED to. Maybe try to compare your test scores, ones when you did study, and ones where you didn't. Do what works for you. (Credit to a person in the comment section suggesting this strategy)
4. Know the RULES of your school
5. Wear DEODORANT!
6. Keep your ATTENDANCE up, don't be late, as much as possible
7. screw colorful highlighters, GET EXTRA PENCILS, you will need them, they are so easy to lose
8. Keep a PLANNER, this works for some, not all. Try to stay ORGANIZED
9. Don't be AFRAID to ask questions, that's what most teachers are there for
10. People can be intimidating, but will they be a part of your life in 10, hell, even 5 years? Depending what grade you're in and your situation, PROBABLY NOT SO WHO CARES.
11. Clothes are CLOTHES.
12. READ, it helps
13. Don't worry about decorating your LOCKER, you can use that money to buy something useful, plus those stupid tiny chandeliers are annoying
14. Do your best in ALL subjects
15. If your teacher allows it chew GUM, just throw it away, don't be an asshole and put it on the ground
16. Give yourself a BREAK.
17. If you got a bad grade, don't waste your time sulking, LEARN from it
18. Make friends, it's probably the best part of school
19. It ain't no beauty contest, but look presentable (wash yourself, smell good, brush your teeth, etc.)
20. Lockers: Make sure the arrow is on zero before you try to open it
21. Double check your tests!!!!
22. If your teacher lets you use notes/guides on tests, USE THEM (surprisingly people in one of my classes didn't use them, and got bad grades so the teacher threatened to not let us use the notes)
23. JOIN clubs/extra curricular activities. Get INVOLVED
24. Being anxious is normal
25. Just be fucking nice to people. It's a lot cooler than being a douchebag

yes, some kid took my marker and ruined the tip because he didn't know how to color. now i usually just say no or that i don't have anything.
Honestly, that is the worst.
When they ask for pencils because they dont have one so you give them one and they never return it. Then turns out you need an extra pencil one day but you dont have one because that kid never gave it back.
I just mark them as my own by using washi tape. For some reason nobody ever took it off and I found plenty of my pens which got stolen from classmates

Who honestly has the time to actually decorate their locker? And there is literally nothing wrong with reusing a backpack sans splatter paint. I used the same backpack for 6 years (middle school to college) before I wore a hole in the bottom and had to replace it.

Real back to school tips
1 : bring an extra book and write extra notes in lesson
2 : look presentable ( dont go crazy about your hair its not a beauty pagent) this includes smelling nice and being kind
3 : get a big bag / backpack youll need it for all your notes
4 : dont cram your lockers full of trash use bins
5 : organise your locker has stuff in a specific place
6 : do your homework its not an essay and if you struggle ask your teacher
7 : dont stress about unfinished work explain to your teacher what happened
8 : go ti the restroom before and after lessons not whilst the lesson is active
9 : listen in class break and lunch is for messing around
10 : follow all these tips i honestly have not and had a crap year :/

These were really good tips! Although unfortunately not everyone can go to the washroom before class starts. At my school, breaks are only 4 minutes and the school itself is huge(4 buildings, 2 have two floors, the other two have 4 floors)

School hack: actually study and do your homework!
I had a friend last year who had troubles in geometry but would never actually put effort after school to study and would always "forget" to do homework. They finished the year with a 75 and I with a 91, because I put the effort in to complete homework and study.
Also if you don't finish homework it's okay just turn it in because getting a 50 is better than not turning it in and getting a 0
I'd like to add to that! Doing homework is an easy A and raises your grade quite a lot! It may not seem like much of your grade but it does pile up. You need to get in habit early since it's harder later.

This is all stuff I learned in a class called study skills. Well it depends. What kind of music are you listening to? Is it lyrical or instrumental? If it's lyrical don't use it to study. You get distracted because you are listening to the words while reading. That's multitasking and our brains aren't able to do that. If you are listening to instrumental don't listen to music at all.

I'm from Nigeria. it's kinda sad we don't have lockers.
In Romania there are no lockers, or school busses.We don't even have a cafeteria .So about 60% of these school hacks are useless:)))
B E A C H W H E A T You are amazing. Finally someone who said that. In Ireland we have wooden lockers which are tiny and all packed together. I always have to wait for the person whose locker is above mine to be finished. We also don't have a cafeteria, just a little shop and a huge vertical queue (PERPENDICULAR) to it. Also, the Chomps and Freddos have went up from 30c to 40c.
