i love how above their tutus their faces are calm while below, their feet are busy executing complex moves just like a swan does while floating in a lake

Some people don't understand how difficult this dance actually is to perfect. While the moves look simple, they have to do every single step, kick, etc at the EXACT same time. Ballerinas deserve so much recognition for all the hard work they put into every incredible performance
It’s the Royal Ballet! They’re supposed to be strict! I’m in the dance industry and there’s enough discipline, practice, rehearsals that can go in for hours (like 2pm to 10pm)
It wasn't hard for me an my sister, we would sit down and watch these dancers for hours until we pinned down the moves, until we performed it, we did it quite well and on sync.
I have a ballerina friend, quite a beautiful, well known dancer, who had to stop her career. When she went (?) 'en point' and would spin on one toe, she would release violent farts, even heard over the orchestra. She would be in tears, but the public would be hysterically laughing. So sad and awful for her.
I did a dance with three other dance teachers similar to this, not en pointe. we were intertwined and doing the same steps but it was more line kicks kind of stuff. of course I messed it up. we were in unitards with no bras and I was embarrassed and couldn't get my mind off it lolz
out of all the “dance of the little swans” performances i’ve seen on youtube so far, this one just impresses me the most! they’re all so... together! it’s incredible! 💖
Choose either the right or left arms to go on top, get everyone in line, first person and third person connect hands, second and fourth connect hands, with right or left arm on top depending on which u chose where both arms cross between the second and third dancers. Then the first and second girls rejoin remaining hands, again whichever arm on top depending on what u chose, and repeat again for the the third and fourth girls. And voila!
First time I ever saw this was in a movie called Center Stage and I’ve had the utmost respect and awe for all ballerinas. It’s an exquisite art that not everybody appreciates enough. Beautiful performance by the Royal Ballet. 👏🏻
The synchronization of legs, heads, direction was incredible. Every movement so light and supple and precise, wow! They felt weightless like baby birds. What beautiful dancers!
I am not a fan of ballet, but I came across this clip and was amazed - by the absolute precise coordination of the dancers and the brilliant vision of whoever choreographed it.
the one dance I reeeally look forward to watching in Swan Lake, wonderful job to these strong ladies💞 from experience, I know this dance is veeery challenging
I havent seen any comments like this but i think one thing to think about is how close people get after practicing with eachother for months, learning eachothers preferances and strengths as well as their personalities. I do ballet and i have to say that my friends and i have a lot of fun working together
I respect these girls, the discipline they have to go through is absolutely unreal and I don't know how they can handle so much at once all I know Is I could never do something like this Mad respect to these g8rls for what they do.
It's amazing how brilliant the human mind is when you think about the person who thought humans could mimic Swans along a melody with a few methodical and very precise dancing steps
Ballett is the most graceful and delicate Thing i have ever seen yet there is so much sweat, pain body, sore and bleeding feet to make it Look perfect. So much respect to All those wonderful Women and Men doing this!
True, honestly the whole composition is just a freaking marathon, no matter the variation if it's from swan lake it's somehow more tiring than other ballets
I am so interested in ballet, and have been reading about feet injuries ballet causes overtime. One ballerina in an article said: "Dance of the Cygnets? More like murder on the dance floor." I will never forget that.
love the way the music is played at the speed that makes this dance super difficult, its easier to dance it faster which can also cover up mistakes, any mistake here would be seen, added pressure which these ladies conquer
Lots of hard work, skill, technique, and coordination goes into this unit of the beautiful dance of the little swans. ❤ it from the Royal London Ballet!

Wooo! Its my dream to do that dance on a big stage. We didn't know how to do it by tutorials and or people telling us how to do it... We knew because we watched the moves, I still remember to this day... It's a memory I hold dear.
I love the grace & beauty, whilst simultaneously having a reaction to the discomfort & stress to their bodies. They are so dedicated to their art, & I struggle to enjoy it in the way I'm sure they wish me to (respect to them) ...I don't know how to deal with my second hand discomfort.
Yeah! I was on holiday when this was in cinemas, so I had to miss it. Maybe I'll manage to convince the rest of the family to watch it with me, or maybe I'll be all on my own catching up in iPlayer, either way I'm looking forward to it.
