- Well we fixed the transmission issue, head to the track and the car does great! runs consistent low 9.30s, a 9.20, Then decides it doesn't like life anymore and loses oil psi! This car just wants to fight no matter what!

I hope you do a teardown video. Sucks it blew up.
i honestly have never seen a column shift Camaro at the drag strip, .. props for keeping it stock
I agree! When I was younger everything had to have a floor shifter. Now I am the opposite
Well shoot you know it happens keep fixing and plugging away for us watchers who only dream of having a mid 9 sec 69 camaro
"Mid 9's" ????.........more like LOW 9's. ............9.30's and a 9.20 are indeed LOW 9's. I would say .40 to .70 are the mid numbers.
I had a front row seat to that 9.28 pass in my wagon lmao killer car man and beautiful 👍
Always impressive no matter what happens. Can't wait to hear what happened 👍👍👍👍
Thanks for sharing this video with us
You're supposed to brake it.!!!!!
Oh well youre where having fun.
Thank You For sharing Jordan
Love all your cars and and what you do with them not just clclng dust
Your family are are amazing From Al from Alberta Canada 🍁
I have a pro-charged,bbc 69 Camaro. I have been through 4 engines, and I haven’t even made it to the track yet. It’s part of the sport, sorry to hear your engine blew up. Back to the drawing board. 👍 let us know what happened, hopefully you will do a tear down video.
can’t wait to see what you find wrong with the motor. hopefully it’s not too bad
Time stamp 2:30.........damn, that thing sounds SO bad ass!!! Even though ya got her down to a 9.20.......she sure does like to fight you every inch of the way!!! Still an awesome car.........but I like your '67 Vette better!!!
sorry it blew up. fun on hold for now. 👍👍👍👍
Well, you said it was lean, so you gave it more timing twice. You outsmarted yourself.
Added timing to the timing retard. Not the ignition timing.
Damn the bad luck!
What’s crazy at idle it doesn’t sound that radical, but during burnt out you can hear the true colors engine !
@10:23 apparently you’d already forgotten about the Allen wrench you brought along!
Hahaha oh yeah. Brought that with too lol.
@@HorsepowerDepot Keep up the content. Love the content. Hate that you lost the engine. Hope you video the teardown so we can see what went wrong.
I love seeing that beautiful 69 copo on the track. Just screams Americana. Sorry you lost a motor. But I know you guys will be back keep grinding kids love what you do
That sucks! That new engine had a short life.
what doesn't kill you makes you faster - Nietzche
Never seen a stock 427 with a domator
Never said it was stock.
Damn badass car 💪.....ur running Demon 170 #s...
When did you add the Dominator single plane and headers? Did I miss a dyno video with that stuff?
Yes. Couple videos back. It’s a completely different engine now. Pump gas 565.
I’d love to hear the tech on your exhaust/manifolds etc. blows my mind how BES makes that kind of power through manifolds……… what happens with a proper tube-collector header?
As this video shows headers don’t add as much as you’d think. The stock exhaust manifolds are heavily modified. I believe they usually cut them in half, port the snot out of them and then weld the two halves back together.
Maybe it was running lean like you mentioned but maybe a bit too lean? How many passes do you figure that engine has on it? Maybe it was time for a refresh anyway. Yeah, a tear down video would be interesting. Good luck.
It lost oil pressure. It wasn’t blow up lean. Just leaner than I run all of our other stuff. I like to run 12.5 it was 13.0-13.2
@@HorsepowerDepot Oh bummer! Thanks for the info.
Awe man that sucks that it blew up
Blew up the 406 in my 75 Vette going to build a Blueprint 434 soon
How did you do that?
@musclebone7875 Believe valve spring broke dropped the valve and tore up #7 to the point its not salvageable, keep the accessories, intake, carb, headers and start the 434.
@@forterierocks do you think that you over revved the engine for the valve spring to break?
@musclebone7875 No I never really abused it, I think it was just a bad spring unfortunately. It was a good engine and was in gosh 4 or 5 different vehicles my dad built before I bought it off him.
Maybe the damage isn’t too bad. Great to see the orange car back at it. Really enjoy watching. Question…What mufflers are you running on the Camaro? Thanks😅
3 inch dynomax ultraflo.
@@HorsepowerDepot Thanks Jordan! Good to know. Your car sounds great! I’ve been researching and that’s what I had decided on already. Sorry for the trouble with your motor.
@@HorsepowerDepot and too, just noticed the smiley face on the first message I sent. Not sure how that got there?? Fat fingers I guess. Promise I wasn’t laughing at you. Not good to blow up a motor.
My grandfather was the one who can get them to do the do and have lifetime warranty in the 70s and all the way to 2005 one of your local neighbors to the neighbors who have been using code to make it easier to get ppl to stop but it was not so much fun with me I have been using tools for the correct reasons in diaper and just got a bath 🛀 but nothing was going to say I was not going outside with my Papa😢 he had been so fast it's Gotta be so rewarding that he had 3 times in 40 years and goes back to Detroit diesel and Allison transmissions to be able for the whole world to be able to send it to you and your own ppl to make sure you're getting the right place Pitts in Miami for 40 he was so excited to see the turbo cars GN in the whole world is the turbo and they are all good e air gas or diesel but NA are hanging in the middle thank God for all the blessings and prayers 5 axis cnc and self learning engiine management systems your got helluva nice and honest cars nmca world have been quick to show it in any way you look is only for hard work properly million hours of work and racing for you 🏁 I have a great collection immediately now a subscriber and will let the family see the 🐀 racing BBC #1🎉 19:16
Nice
Does that Holley log oil pressure?
Or did you crack a piston?
Lost oil psi going through the traps on the last pass right when I lifted.
😱
5* and it's already lean?! Ooops
5 deg to the launch timing retard, not the total ignition timing.
@@HorsepowerDepot ahh I see that after watching more of the video. Sound and oil ps light on, you think it stacked a bearing?
What model cama, almost looks like a COPO
Squeaked a rod bearing?
I predict 840s
What broke?
He probably hurt a piston
