I'm so glad I was able to go to one of his shows. He was kind enough to take time and talk to us. So sad they're gone. Makes me tear up just trying to write this.

About 1979 0r 80 I walked into a Chigao dive bar in January and was stunned to learn Billy Joe was about to play that night.I was really a big fan of Waylon's and couldn't believe Billy Joe was gonna play such a small venue might have been 20 people in the audience.It was an amazing night,thanks man for you great creativity and soul-RIP
