I was lucky enough to see him in Bristol TN a few months back, after the show he stood on the street and shook hands and took pictures with people, I even shook whats left of his right hand, dang that sounds like a song titile, but he was very gracious to do it and seemed to love every minute, thats the real deal to me.

@MrAsaph1960 Billy truly is a great visionary poet! His greatness is more recognized across the water than here, Americans tend to undervalue the intrinsically American. I love literature written in the vernacular, Heathcliff's Yorkshire & Huck Finn's Missouri drawl, etc. Billy's truth is as pure & straight as Twain's & he's as elegant as Coleridge & as funny as the finest Irish limericks! Those who recognize TRUE ART have loved him forever & the other greats always have too! God bless BJS!!!
