The description says: "Dear Viewer, We present to you our opening credits, a phrase here which means last chance to turn off this unfortunate story and stream something more pleasant, as a final reminder that you have no obligation to stream this miserable tale. With all due respect, Netflix" I love this series.
I just finished season 3 and I'm honestly crying. I had to come back to watch the theme song and reminded me of a time where I didn't discover A Series of Unforunate Events. I loved every second of it though
I remember before I even watched it, I saw the thumbnail of the series and I thought it was just a family on an adventure, I also watched the trailers of it before watching and thought that count olaf is very silly
Who’s the other person you can here in the beginning there voice is male but high pitched also Lemony Snicket is not real lemony is fictional he breaks the 4th wall because that is him telling the story of the bauldalaires saying that this is the same world as ours but it’s not
Nollywog You should begin reading them☺️What I mean is that you geet excited, for the series, you know everything and like want to see a liveaction of the books,
@@ericabonifacio2879, It's in the second episode of each book. He uses his disguised voice for a slight explanation of what's going on. I mean, sure, in some cases, Count Olaf isn't using a disguise; he's just himself, but take Gunther from the Ersatz Elevator, for example.
Have you seen the Baudalaires I mean 3 orphans with glasses and the other who is kinds blonde with a baby that can cook I sour the internet and i may say that this baudalaires are very well uidden in this comment sections
This series will always have a special place in my heart. Honestly, the back of the cover telling you not to read the book, Sunny's sharp teeth, the Quagmires, Uncle Monty, Aunt Josphine, Mr.Poe's constant cold. I love this series and nothing could ever replace or outdo it.
SayFuzzyPickles The one problem I had with the show was that it was a bit too light, it was like it was trying to make everything a Very Funny Dilemma, and it was a bit hard to take seriously at times.
If you have a great singer like Neil Patrick Harris in your cast, it makes sense to get him to sing your opening theme. However, the amazing end titles theme to the movie by Thomas Newman remains unrivalled.
00:52 "Original Score By James Newton Howard" no words in no language ever conceived by any civilization on this earth or another can describe my excitement triggered by just 6 words
2 men were in prison 1st man: I murdered 13 people in one day. You? 2nd man: I shipped Violet and Klaus Baudelaire... 1st man shuffled away from the 2nd man
With all due respect Netflix, This was a good show. By the time we're all done wading in seas of tears, you should release a show of some interesting documents I have recovered from an unidentified place labeled "All the wrong questions". Sincerely, A scarred and intrigued Wannabe Volunteer
I... can't believe I missed something reading the books that I see here in the intro. Something obvious. Count Olaf Flacutono Lucafont Aslde from the last word missing an "O", those names for his disguised troupes are anagrams of Count Olaf. Man, that ego he had in the story.
Then there's also, which I did realize in no small part due to "Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography", though it may have been in the main books as well, was Al Funcoot being an anagram as well... Which makes sense considering the Count-centered play.
Thomas Hall I felt disappointed by the ending of the first episode because they made it seem like the Baudelaire's parents, but after watching the last episode I thought it was awesome and clever how they did that!
Dawson Brown the show wanted us to think that the baudelaire parents were alive but were held hostage. then, it's revealed that the parents actually did die in the fire and the supposed baudelaire parents were really the parents of duncan, quigley, and isadora quagmire.
I just love the line "There's nothing but horror and inconvenience on the way". The constant, absurd juxtaposition of the dreadful and the banal has always been one of the most distinctive aspects of the series for me, and those lyrics very nicely capture that feeling.
I really liked it. Neil Patrick Harris is appallingly awesome and deliciously dastardly as Count Olaf. The show has a gothic, Tim Burtonian feel to it, and everything from the sets and scenery to the music is well done . All in all Netflix delivered a Very Faithful Depiction of one of the best book series in the world.

IKR! But it would need to have another villain. But it could only be.. P...P........Poe. He caused them trouble and was happy in the end with them disappearing, burning a hotel, murder, etc. He is the true Villian
Possible Austere Academy Version: 🎵The Baudelaires are sent to live at a dreary boarding school. Its students are obnoxious and it's run by a tonedeaf fool. Soon enough their foe returns and plots a brand new theft. If I gave this tale a letter grade it would surely get an "F"🎵
🎵Our heroes stay with a woman who's a slave to all things "In". They hope that in her care they'll be safe from Olaf's sin. Shockingly they find out she's in league with the vile rogue. Please don't watch this show where tragedy's in vogue."🎵
0:57 The medical examiner, the charming and lovely Nurse Lucafont, immediately identified snake bite as the cause of death. They spent a lot of time on these opening credits.
This series is so good! I even cried when count Olaf died. He was a good man at first but then he was filled with evil. He died to save kit’s baby and we will love him for that R.I.P. Count Olaf
"Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable." - Cesar Cruz I think this series perfectly encapsulates that idea, as when I tried to watch this series when it was released, I was deeply disturbed by it. In fact, I couldn't make it past episode 2 and did as the intro song's lyrics told me to "look away." Then again, I was young, happy, and not traumatized yet. As bad as that sounds, coupled with the quote I mentioned earlier, it provides a somewhat intriguing sentiment. Because now I'm not always happy, I'm depressed most of the time, and I'm traumatized. In other words, I'm disturbed. I've had my eyes glued to the screen all day watching this spectacular series. Of which I'm currently halfway through Season 2 and clapping along and dancing in my seat whenever this bop of an intro song plays.
Count Olaf sings this song, this is a story about children who have their concerns and troubles ignored by adults. Count Olaf is telling you to look away, ignore whats happening like everybody else. Genius writing.
Watched this years ago when I was a kid. It gave me ridiculous anxiety- but oh my god it was addictive. I read the books in 5th grade. I need to rewatch it but it’s hard when you know what’s going to happen :(

I love this series.

I just finished season 3 and I'm honestly crying. I had to come back to watch the theme song and reminded me of a time where I didn't discover A Series of Unforunate Events. I loved every second of it though
I know discovering all the plot twists and how everything turned out the end was just an amazing experience and I wish I could do it over again :-(

I remember before I even watched it, I saw the thumbnail of the series and I thought it was just a family on an adventure, I also watched the trailers of it before watching and thought that count olaf is very silly
anyone notice how count olaf is singing this- and um he’s talking bad abt himself

The song that'll be stuck in my head for the next 19 years
I love how the intro voice changes, depending on what character Olaf is being. 💖
What are you taking about? The intro sounded the same to me for each episode.
I noticed that too! Shows Neil Patrick Harris' mastery
@@ericabonifacio2879, It's in the second episode of each book. He uses his disguised voice for a slight explanation of what's going on. I mean, sure, in some cases, Count Olaf isn't using a disguise; he's just himself, but take Gunther from the Ersatz Elevator, for example.

Pam Legaspi you didn't like the movie?
Darth Vader the movie was nothing like the books, we've been waiting for a proper adaptation which is this.
rekked I wouldn't say the movie wasn't like the books. It was. They just changed some plot stuff. This series definitely looks a lot better though.
TEC1 how do you feel about Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf so far. Do you prefer him over Jim Carrey?
Gotham Savior I like NPH much better. He isn't over-acting as much.
This show is Very Fortunately Different to the movie. Only seen the first two episodes but I'm loving it so far.
SayFuzzyPickles The one problem I had with the show was that it was a bit too light, it was like it was trying to make everything a Very Funny Dilemma, and it was a bit hard to take seriously at times.
SayFuzzyPickles I found the series Very Fundamentally Delightful in comparison to the books...
Why are we making these Very Furiously Demented puns?
Aaron Johnson trust me it gets darker and season two .
Then Season 2 came ad it was creepy as all hell.
Greatest Netflix Series ever made. I rate it a 10/10, one of my favorite shows.
If you have a great singer like Neil Patrick Harris in your cast, it makes sense to get him to sing your opening theme.
However, the amazing end titles theme to the movie by Thomas Newman remains unrivalled.
What is this theme?
Welp, this is the first time I heard NPH sing the theme song for a TV show.
I feel like watching the show again. I wish there would've been another season but that's not how the story goes.

That happens alot with Anime openings, once you get attached to a show the opening just becomes so much better even when you use to skip it.
That actually reminds me of an anime opening that at first I thought was awful, but eventually got used to it and liked it.
My favourite series I have ever watched, I’m rewatching it, there is sooo much foreboding I highly recommend a rewatch
I... can't believe I missed something reading the books that I see here in the intro. Something obvious.
Count Olaf
Flacutono
Lucafont
Aslde from the last word missing an "O", those names for his disguised troupes are anagrams of Count Olaf. Man, that ego he had in the story.
Lucafont's full name is something like Dr. O. Lucafont, so the extra "O" is there. :3
I didn't realize that before, good catch!
Then there's also, which I did realize in no small part due to "Lemony Snicket: The Unauthorized Autobiography", though it may have been in the main books as well, was Al Funcoot being an anagram as well... Which makes sense considering the Count-centered play.
LuckyOwl
How could you miss that? didn't they talk about it in the hospital???

i mean holy fuck!!!!!
Thomas Hall I felt disappointed by the ending of the first episode because they made it seem like the Baudelaire's parents, but after watching the last episode I thought it was awesome and clever how they did that!
But they still died!!!! I was like, oh maybe they will help, but no! Now that are dead! I guess I should have expected that bit however.
It was, it was never shown in the books so it was a nice bit of misdirection.
Can someone explain to me what happened to the parents

🎵The Baudelaires are sent to live at a dreary boarding school.

WHY DID YOU HAVE TO SPOIL IT.
"Art should comfort the disturbed and disturb the comfortable."
- Cesar Cruz
I think this series perfectly encapsulates that idea, as when I tried to watch this series when it was released, I was deeply disturbed by it.
