Very interesting. Getting tired of plowing my 350’ long driveway with my ATV and no heater. Thinking of getting something like this to attach to a Jeep Wrangler. Thank you for taking the time to make this video.
Had the smaller Snowsport on my TJ for years - worked like a charm with up to 2' of snow in upstate NY. Put it on my old Ranger when I sold the TJ and now it is on my 2003 Yukon. I have had my snow sport plow for seven Winters now. It is currently mounted to the third truck I've owned since I've owned the plow. I live in central New York in a snow belt area so it gets plenty of use each year. I've plowed from two inches to 30 in with that plow. I have found that with wet packy snow it's best to strap it down and I use the manufacturers strap. I plow my yard that is 180 ft deep from the road as well as my grandmother's driveway and sometimes my brother's driveway and it works great. I don't have any videos with me right now but maybe I'll make some in the near future.
Me too! I have mounted mine on my second vehicle and we use it on our subaru now also. It is one of the best "tools" I have ever purchased by a large margin. We love it. I never received a strap with my plow (I don't think). It is a little older than you plow though. Maybe that is why? I don't even know what that is. I think you should make a video about your plow for sure! That would be awesome. 😃🔧🔧
I just picked up a used snowsport HD to make snow removal easier from my usual atv plowing / snowblowing. I live in CNY also, so you know this is a yearly headache. To be respectful of the auto tranny, should you plow just in drive or drop it to 4wd low or just do that when plowing heavier / thicker snow depths. Thanks.
@@EasyFixShaun Will do! Main reason why I went with the Snowsport HD, is I recently moved to a new property where the driveway is a lot longer, and my snowblower is now out of the question. In the video the area you're plowing has a lot of room and also looks decent flat... I wonder if someone has tested it on a small driveway (4 vehicles kind of size) with a not so flat surface? Thanks!!
I plow my back yard down the hill to my walkout area. Basically so our dog has plenty of room to go to the bathroom. Also so we can easily get to our chicken coup across the yard near the edge of our property. All irregular surfaces. Doesn't take long. Super easy. Works great 😀🔧
Wow nice job! The design is genius. The “other” plow manufacturers are probably really hoping this plow doesn’t get to much traction. Most of their plows (all) would be obsolete for plowing all but commercially.
Amazon links in the description of the video. Plow shows up in 3 boxes. Easy to assemble. Mines been worked hard and is over a decade old. It's easily got another decade or two left in it. It works on our cars perfect. All you need is a hitch. A traditional front hitch makes plowing easy 😀❄️
It will pick up some gravel until the gravels freezes. Mid winter shouldn't be a problem. But it might be a small concern for you early in the year or even spring time.
The rubber blade will bend if you hit something. It’s sturdy but it will flex. I went over a stump one time in my yard that I forgot about. No damage. The rubber blade is basically the spring. It has its limitations I’m sure. I wouldn’t test it on curbs or stumps on purpose. I haven’t haven’t found the plows limitations yet luckily. I push really hard on it too. But I only push snow. I don’t hit things with it typically. It will take a lot of pressure. My truck is a 3/4 ton suburban with a 8.1 liter. You can not black blade really. I mean it will but it’s not meant to. Pros and cons. There is no perfect plow. But this plow won’t break hydraulics or electrical because there is none. It’s about 1/5 the cost of a traditional plow. It will last 20/30/40/50 years if you know what you are doing because it is aluminum. I foresee replacement of the blad eventually. It would be nice now. But I think it could last 5 more years. Maybe longer. For me it works perfect with all that in mind. I love it. I’ve plowed with everything with wheels. Cost, durability, weight, maintenance, ease of use, transferable to another vehicle, and plowing in the warmth of a vehicle with the music on is just amazing vs any other option. But it may not work for everybody. I hope that helps. In short there are some small drawbacks. But they are worth dealing with.
I don't think that would be possible with out heavy modification. Could probably be done with materials and a welder. It works great the way it is though 😃🔧
Can you tell me the size of the frame, is it made from 2"x2" square tubing.. also what is the width between the two uprights. I have access to my neighbor who is a welder. Thanks for any future info.
Hey George. I think you can look up specs on these. The mount tube is a trailer 2" size square tubing. The upright distance is roughly 27". I think building one is doable. They aren't too expensive for how nice and simple they are though too. They work amazzzzzzing. 🤓🔧
Yes if you go to fast. I have had that happen driving down the road one driveway and crossing the road to the neighbors house. But I was going way to fast. 20 mph or more. The plow is not made for that. Slowing to normal plow speeds and it will work great. 😃🔧
Yup. It will work on a four wheeler. Not as comfortable as in a car with heat and radio. But it works! One of the best "tools" I have ever purchased by a landslide.
It took me 3 hours while being meticulous. If I had 2 and they were done back to back the second one would only take 30 minutes or so. They are super easy to assemble. I wanted to make sure I hand tightened everything so there was accidentally stripped bolts with power tools. So it took some extra time just to do it right. Now a decade later-everything is still perfect....except the bottom rubber blade has some wear. I plan on replacing it eventually. It still works great. Just leaves a bit of snow on the ground. This will last another decade or two easily! One of the best things I have ever purchased by a long shot😃🔧
I've had mine for 5 years now. It has gone through 1 SUV (backwards) and 2 trucks front mounted. I plow my neighbors also so I just purchased the winch with down pressure kit, upgraded LT frame and HD angle interceptor. it was originally a 180 that is transforming into a modded version...nice they let you mix and match. I think these upgrades should overcome its small downsides. Any thoughts on getting the winch or making your own?
Wow that is awesome Jose! I have no plans myself of getting a winch. Mine works as is for me. I do want to install new rubber blade. Now that mine is 10yrs old I would love to show a before and after of a new rubber blade. The old blade still works great. But I think it would be a fun comparison to see how the wear stacks up over time😃🔧
Yea it works just fine. In think it would easily last 20+ years for most people including me. I just want to replace to show the difference. Other wise i am happy with it😀🔧
@@EasyFixShaun thank you sir for the answer. Also I have a 89 Ford F-150 with a 4 inch lift. I am wondering if this plow will work for me or if it will have to be extended down? The 4 inch lift isn’t a lot but I’m wondering if the blow will be mounted low enough.
You will probably be ok. It would miss a little snow in some spots. Usually where there is an elevation change. Mine does this currently and it works just fine for me. Minor irritation is all it amounts to at first. But i dont even think about it anymore, until you mentioned it. Haha. Worst case scenario you could adjust down or make a way to lower it with a hitch adaptor that lowers it. I have plowed with every method there is. For me this is the ultimate in results, comfort, cost, durability, speed, and ease of use. I will never use any other method to plow my driveway. I just love mine. I plow in the climate controlled, music equipped, cup holder equipped Daily Driver. Change your daily driver-no problem. Just get a front hitch on your next vehicle and the plow works great. It can plow off the back also. So pretty much any vehicle could be used in a pinch no problem. Awd and 4x4 plowing off the front is always best. Front is way easier in the long run. No electrical harness and hydraulics to change or go bad. Simple. Cheap in comparison to any other plow. All other plows are garbage. Expensive. And things go bad or break on them all the time. Plow sports are so simple. There's nothing to break unless you break it. They will plow massive amounts of Snow with no problem. I've done it for about a decade now. The plow has no damage except there is some wear on the rubber blade. It still works fine and i plan to use the plow for another couple decades. I would like to replace the blade in the next five years for fun though. 😀🔧🔧
I drive all over the place with mine. You should be good. Just double check your temp gauge. With any plow there can be slightly less airflow to the radiator. 😀
Works great. I just did my driveway yesterday. It moved all the snow from the storm without a problem. The plow is my only method of moving snow for the last 6/7 years. I wouldn’t want to move snow any other way. It works so good!
My answer to your question would be, yes! No problem. This plow will do everything a regular plow will do with one exception. The rubber blade will not “scrape” as good as a steel blade. But the blade was designed to be rubber so it will not peel up any grass. It will leave a skiff if snow here and there. But it’s no big deal. Plus in the spring no grass repair needs to be done. It’s the bees knees!
@@EasyFixShaun Not saying it wont work. Genuinely wondering how it would handle my driveway. Final total of snow since yesterday morning was 18 - 20 inches. My driveway is 465ft long and slopes up from the road 68ft to the house above the height of the road. I spent over 4 hours out there today with a snow blower that has a 33 inch cut. I agree 100% that this plow will work great in most use cases, just maybe not mine. Our neighbor wanted to help out with his pickup that has plow on it and got stuck maybe 10ft from the road.
There is a learning curve to plowing. If you know what you are doing and there are places to put the snow along your 465ft driveway, it would be easy. If there is no where to plow banks, your only option would be a snow blower. The plow does swivel, but no amount of swivel, horse power, torque and traction will economically plow a drive way that long without several places along to put snow off to the side in piles😀🔧.
Ebay or agricover.com is the beat way i know how to. I think there is some dealer networks so you would have to check. If you order it it shows up from UPS fast in three large boxes. Its light and easy to assemble compared to any other plow. Make sure you get a hitch for the front of your vehicle if one is made and have it installed. They are by far the best way to plow. Just like a traditional plow. Works perfect😀🔧
About $2000 with a front hitch. There are a couple plow options if you wanted to go smaller. I wouldn't go smaller though. I would error on the larger plow if you can. For most applications any HD Plow will always be best with the side scoops. If you buy a Snowsport plow too big, these are so lightweight it doesn't even matter. HD has side scoops that you will be very happy with. The smaller versions without, will bleed 10x more snow off the side of the plow when in use, causing a lot more passes. HD's are very efficient and are best for all applications imo😃🔧
Curious how this would work for a little deeper snow, say 12+" Wouldn't the snow just come over the top and fall onto the area you're plowing? I'd like to see some videos of deeper than a few inches of snow and or packed snow.
It works great for any amount of snow. I would say it is the same as another plow on fresh snow. If snow is weeks old and hard and crusty its not going to do much because of the rubber blade. Otherwise it is awesome and one of the best purchases I have made. I have plow with everything that has wheels. I would never buy anything else. Might not work for everyone. I have plowed massive amounts of snow with it. 😃
@@EasyFixShaun Then do you have and videos with 12"+ of snow, I'm having trouble understanding how it does not come over the top after it starts to pile up in front of the plow. All the videos I see are with small amounts of snow. Understood that since the blade edge it flexible rubber it would not work well in hard crunchy snow, but in that case just get out before it gets crunchy. I use a rubber edge on my garden tractor plow to prevent scratching the driveway which just means getting out before it freezes.
Ok. Ya the rubber blade works great. It Durant peel up the grass. It doesn’t scrape a god as a metal blade but it picks up most of the snow. A little is remaining here and there. I might have a video saved up. Let me check. I was plowing some really deep snow last year and didn’t make the video. It works great. The snow will basically start to curl like an ocean wave. Imagine how good you think it will work for you. Then multiply by ten. You will love it. Plus you can plow I. The warmth of the vehicle with your favorite music. It plows fast. I will check that video.
Ya! You gotta pick your pattern to optimize efficiency when plowing. I got used to it very quickly. It is fantastic. Best winter tool I have ever purchased. Second place isn't even close. This is the 4th vehicle I have used the plow on. It transfers easily to any vehicle. All you need is a HITCH! 😃❄️
@@foresterlady448 Not all Foresters came from the factory with a hitch. But you can install a rear hitch on ANY model year Forester or Subaru for that matter. Curtis hitch, Reese hitch, and Drawtite hitches all have models to choose from. You just need to know if you want a 1.25" receiver or a 2" receiver. I always use 2" because they are heavier duty. But whatever works for your needs. I searched for a front hitch and I can NOT find one. You would need to plow off the rear of the forester only. Most all full size vehicles have front hitch options. If you must have a front hitch you may need a new ride. Your Forester will plow just fine from the back though! 🔧🔧🤔

The only thing I see wrong is you can't backdrag and no trip springs . So if you strike a curb what's gonna break ?
Where is your newer video backing up plowing
Here it is! ruclips.net/video/rzlUZagKjdY/видео.html
Can you put the plow on backwards to pull the snow backwards ?
I don't think that would be possible with out heavy modification. Could probably be done with materials and a welder. It works great the way it is though 😃🔧
Where can I buy this snow plow for a good price? I already have a front 2 inch receiver.
Amazon. I put some links in the description. I also have short videos with products links if you want to check those out too 😀
Any luck finding what you need?
Can you tell me the size of the frame, is it made from 2"x2" square tubing.. also what is the width between the two uprights. I have access to my neighbor who is a welder. Thanks for any future info.
Hey George. I think you can look up specs on these. The mount tube is a trailer 2" size square tubing. The upright distance is roughly 27". I think building one is doable. They aren't too expensive for how nice and simple they are though too. They work amazzzzzzing. 🤓🔧
Do you get a “chopping/bouncing” motion moving forward if you use it for small snows (say under 3”)?
Yes if you go to fast. I have had that happen driving down the road one driveway and crossing the road to the neighbors house. But I was going way to fast. 20 mph or more. The plow is not made for that. Slowing to normal plow speeds and it will work great. 😃🔧
Where do you buy them
Mine showed up in 3 manageable boxes from amazon.

Snowsport HD 84" plow: amzn.to/3Sl6JWW
Would an old Toyota 4 Runner be sufficient to plow snow with one of these?
Yup. It will work on a four wheeler. Not as comfortable as in a car with heat and radio. But it works! One of the best "tools" I have ever purchased by a landslide.
@@EasyFixShaun Great. I thought maybe it might be a bit light and the snow might push it around, but if even a car would work I should be fine.
Ya you will be just fine. We plow with our Subaru all the time and its tiny 😃
I bought my 86 Silverado plow truck with the plow for the cost of this plow
I am glad you got a good deal 😃🔧
How much assembly is required?
It took me 3 hours while being meticulous. If I had 2 and they were done back to back the second one would only take 30 minutes or so. They are super easy to assemble. I wanted to make sure I hand tightened everything so there was accidentally stripped bolts with power tools. So it took some extra time just to do it right. Now a decade later-everything is still perfect....except the bottom rubber blade has some wear. I plan on replacing it eventually. It still works great. Just leaves a bit of snow on the ground. This will last another decade or two easily! One of the best things I have ever purchased by a long shot😃🔧
@@EasyFixShaun thanks so much. I’m going to order one. Great job on the videos. 👍🏼
Thanks a lot! Let me know mid season how your plow is working for you please? I hope you love yours too. 😀
But I think it would be a fun comparison to see how the wear stacks up over time😃🔧
@@EasyFixShaun I always look at the blade and wonder how long it will last. Good to know after 10 years it’s still working well.
Yea it works just fine. In think it would easily last 20+ years for most people including me. I just want to replace to show the difference. Other wise i am happy with it😀🔧
Does the rubber blade work good for not digging up gravel in a driveway as well?
I don't plow a lot of gravel driveways. But it does work well with the one i have tried. Onlce the gravel is frozen it works perfect 😀🔧🔧
Where can i get one? Is there a link for purchase?
Agricover.com is the manufacturer. I ahould be able to order direct. If not, ebay has them also through the manufacturer.
I have a place upstate, 4 hr drive. Can I keep the plow on for the 4 hrs or do you not recommend that. I have a 2018 RAM Truck 1500 Longhorn.
I drive all over the place with mine. You should be good. Just double check your temp gauge. With any plow there can be slightly less airflow to the radiator. 😀
It only weighs 70 lbs, if you have a truck just throw it in the bed for the 4 hour drive..
Great idea!
How good is the plow in moving wind-packed snow? That's the real test of non-hydraulic/electric plows.
A guy on Facebook near me is selling one for $900 brand new. Is that a good deal?
Great deal! I would snag that up if you still can!
Not sure how well this would do with the literal 16 inches of snow I have in my driveway right now...
It would work fantastic. It will work 100X better than you think it will.
@@EasyFixShaun
Not saying it wont work.
Must I purchase the Snowsport on line, or is there a dealer network?
Ebay or agricover.com is the beat way i know how to. I think there is some dealer networks so you would have to check. If you order it it shows up from UPS fast in three large boxes. Its light and easy to assemble compared to any other plow. Make sure you get a hitch for the front of your vehicle if one is made and have it installed. They are by far the best way to plow. Just like a traditional plow. Works perfect😀🔧
@@EasyFixShaun Thank you!
No prob😀🔧
How is it on gravel? Is the blade rubber?
Yup blade super thick rubber. It will work on gravel once it’s frozen no problem. If it’s not frozen it will pick some up probably.
@@EasyFixShaun thanks.
How much was it?
About $2000 with a front hitch. There are a couple plow options if you wanted to go smaller. I wouldn't go smaller though. I would error on the larger plow if you can. For most applications any HD Plow will always be best with the side scoops. If you buy a Snowsport plow too big, these are so lightweight it doesn't even matter. HD has side scoops that you will be very happy with. The smaller versions without, will bleed 10x more snow off the side of the plow when in use, causing a lot more passes. HD's are very efficient and are best for all applications imo😃🔧
Amazon links for plow and front hitch in the description 😉🔧
What class receiver hitch is required? I know it must be 2" but class 3, 4 or 5?
The unit comes with a 2” built onto it. You would just need an adaptor if you don’t have that size. So technically any size will work.
Curious how this would work for a little deeper snow, say 12+"
Wouldn't the snow just come over the top and fall onto the area you're plowing?
Seriously? Handheld angling, no up and down, push and drag? No trip feature? Bro, liked your vid,
If you want to leave the blade on without it getting stolen just use a locking hitch pin on it. Just a recommendation I don’t own one of these plows
Could work for sure. You should get one! Game changer for me 😀🔧
Heck yeah! Plowing #LikeABoss !!!
I’m glad you like it! Plowing is fun😃
Looks like it would work for a Harry the home owner.
*_Totally works for Harry! Also works for Sally the Subaru owner and Randy the random car hitch owner!.. Game changer. Thanks for the comment._*
I ike your video but I disagree about not using it on your rear hitch it works the same as u have a front hitch
I agree it works well front or rear. Sorry for the confusion. I prefer front because I can see better like a traditional plow 😃🔧
I have a forester. Hmmm..
Your car could get the job done with this plow no problem.
Do all foresters have hitches in the back? Can I get a front hitch to plow like you?
Ok great thank you!! I can’t wait for the Subbie video!!
coming soon!
