    Today I took my first roll on Leaperkim Patton.
    It was a pleasure to play on this wheel and I had heaps of fun.
    This is a demo wheel lent to me by E-RIDERZ Australia.
    Thanks to the team there for continuing to support the E-community and my channel.
    The fast ace suspension on the PATTON and SHERMAN S is so far the best feeling suspension I've rolled on for a bit of everyday fun. I have not taken time to dial things in or fully test them, but for a quick test it handles everything extremely well. It would be nice to have a little more suspension travel.
    There is a lot to like, and only a few things that I didn't like. I had a full pros and cons list but I had audio troubles with some of the commentary.
    Pros for me was the suspension and design, I really like the industrial feel and minimal baggage hanging off it. The flat side panel's to attach pads are great. Good protective handles, the stand worked and didn't clip the stairs. Good display, good lights. Fun power and okay speed and range.
    The cons, no cut off switch, charge port location, trolley handle felt a little unbalanced at the rear, harder on maintenance.
    Not many cons and all liveable.
    It has left me with a great taste for the quality and direction Leaperkim are going and has me really excited for the Lynx.
    This Patton would be a great wheel to consider for the more adventurous beginner, a good commuter wheel, weekend trail wheel, group roller or just a second fun wheel for the collection.
    Thanks as always for supporting my channel.
    The likes and subs really do help me :)
    Cheers.

    I am a heavy (275) urban street cruiser (600+mi) on a 66lb street tire, I absolutely love the Patton. I just couldn't be happier. Everything I need, nothing I don't need.
    "Professional"
    ...a great description of the suspension, less Rube Goldbergish but not toyish like drawer carriage slides either.

      Haha great description :) - totally agree with professional feeling.
      Congrats on a great choice on your wheel. Stoked to hear those stories where the choice lines up with everything you need in a wheel, sounds like you got the perfect wheel. Enjoy it heaps and be safe!

    ❤ my Patton, pre-load adjustments can change the feel quite dramatically, it will set your sag correctly = lift your pedals at resting and not blow through the travel (with the 66lb spring)

      Great to hear! I know this ride wasn't set up for my weight and I kind of sprung the visit to the store without much notice. I took it straight from the stock floor. I can imagine how much better it would be set correctly.
      Hopefully down the track I can revisit a few of these wheels and set them up/play a little harder. For a quick demo I can totally understand the Leaperkim love - Enjoy that ride man! Beautiful wheel.

    Your assessment of the Patton is right on par with what every other content creator is saying about this wheel. I have been doing a lot of extensive research, and I'm 99% certain that the Patton will be my next EUC. I'm just wondering how well the Patton would handle with a street tire on it.

      Any video I watch of the Patton comes away with a good respect for the wheel. It is a real testament I think that such a wide audience have all enjoyed this one. Its a keeper :)
      It would be a joy to move around with a street tyre. If I was only on the pavement I would have a street on it for sure. It handles a little off road though so the grip makes it versatile.
      A really good choice though.
      Loved it

      I really liked the feel of this one. I think for the price it's a pretty nice package. You would have a blast Murray. Good to see you rolling so often, you probably deserve a new wheel!

      Yeah, I have an OG Sherman and a Nik +... the Nik is my favorite go to wheel. Everyone with a Patton (like Duf) swear by the Patton, even tho they have other wheels to ride. I reckon anyone wanting to get seriously into EUCs couldn't really go past a Patton @@eucaus

    Between the sherman s and this patton that you have drive tested... do you find the patton to accelerate quicker off the line?

    • @eucaus
      @eucaus  7 месяцев назад +2

      Without jumping on them back to back i am pretty sure the Patton felt zippier. The smaller size just made everything really responsive. I do remember loving the shermanS heaps and thought it had enough zip.

    Did you adjust the suspension?

      This was just off the store floor as their demo unit. The store wasn't aware I wanted to ride it so didn't get time to set tit up for me.

    Considering the Lynx exists, does the Patton feel stable at high speeds or is it squirrely? (Just starting to watch anyway, maybe you address this in the video).

    • @eucaus
      @eucaus  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hey leet, thanks for watching.
      I think the Lynx would be better for speed with the slightly larger tyre and extra voltage. The patton felt flighty at speed bit I also thought is felt pretty stable compared to the extreme.
