I had a flying gecko about 25 years ago. Just found it in a pet shop for about $10, and they said I could cohabitate it with my barking tree frog. They seemed to get along just fine. Still one of my favorite reptiles I have ever kept (I had the world's tamest tokay gecko too, he was awesome as well).
As someone who devours info on reptiles my entire life(32 in july) I really wasn't expecting to see anything new but you came through Adam. That tegu was beautiful. I keep a couple of the others on here but all in all a solid list on the less known wonders of the world. Happy birthday man
I love Mata Matas! I saw them for the first time at an expo. I could never have one though, I struggle enough with a 30 gallon fish tank. Or snail tank, as it has now become... Happy birthday!
My brother and I used to catch reptiles out in the Mojave desert, where we grew up. Our best catch was a Gambelia wislizenii (leopard lizard) when I was 14.
@WickensWickedReptiles So sweet ima get the diabetes, unfortunately I don't have room for an enclosure for one :( But am looking into a Leo soon. A lady on Morph has some hatching anyday ❤️ LOVE your channel man. Best info available imo
Happy birthday Adam and I just barely missed it I knew 15/32! There were a couple in there I briefly heard about once but, I didn't count it to be fair. It was the hairy frog and the snake neck turtle... Still a great list!
im honestly shocked about how many of these amazing animals i knew!! I hope some of these animals are able to make a come back and not go extinct, they are beautiful.
Cool list! I really like the Spider Man lizard and the Hognose Viper. Those Flying Geckos are adorable, too. And, I really hope that Scientist's Buffet guy isn't on the endangered list.... *sigh* Ok, those are all my thoughts. Super fun video, thanks!!
I didn't know about the white eyed crocodile skinks, northern blunt spined monitors, zombie frogs, green blooded skinks, zong's odd scaled snakes, gunther sun tegus, catalina rattlesnakes, and buffet lizards. Very cool to learn about these animals!
i used to work in a pet store..in Agus ONT, called Gator Pets..my bosses would get in all the wierd stuff..back when their were zero regulations...my bosses got in several chinese water dragons....i regret to this day not getting them..one cause of how rare they are here and two because they were just great to handle, very docile, relaxed species, very interesting to watch and set up tanks for ...u need a good space with water trees and space to lay out...they need it all...and use it all...just an all round great reptile to have an herp with
🎉🎉🎉Happy birthday!🎉🎉🎉 So was I the only one who was hoping for a longer video today with a number like 32 in the title? Great video as always regardless 😊
Great video! So many new reptiles! My first boa was a Solomon Island ground boa, but that Zongs (sp?) Oddscale Snake was a beauty. Thanks again, and Happy 32nd!!
Great video! We have the Ozark Hellbenders here in Missouri, really cool to see them on the video. They are probably a lot more common than people think, we see them all the time on the streams where we fish.
Happy birthday Adam! And finally some love for the candoia boas! You should look into getting a Solomon Island tree boa at some point! Captive bred and already on rodent feeders would be ideal, but talk about the perfect arboreal snake! Imagine an Amazon tree boa with the temperament of a ball python!
Happy Birthday !! First time I'm super early. Excited to watch and learn :))) Thanks for makin great vids ! Hope your birthday went well (assuming this was recorded before today)!
I have never heard of Fish scaled Gecko (Geckolepis sp), The northern blunt-spined monitor (Varanus primordius), The green-blooded skink (Prasinohaema virens), Günther's Sun Tegu (Euspondylus guentheri), and Scientist Lunch buffet Lizard (Leiolepis ngovantrii). I was very surprised I had not heard of this many. Great content.
OMG you mentioned White Eyed Croc Skinks!! They're amazing!!!!! Such an amazing family with 8+ babies. They really love their babies, and for a long time too. I'm currently waiting for a new egg to hatch.
Happy birthday Adam, I haven't heard of some of these but I am seriously going to start doing more research to know about this whole list. Have an awesome day
I am so glad you included the northern blunt spined monitors! I own a pair myself and I post them in the discord whenever I get new pics of them (all the time) they are amazing little monitors
Happy birthday!!! 🎉🎉🎉 We have gharials at the zoo I work at and they are just so cool!!! Their exhibit is where I drop off food in the mornings and I usually end up getting back to the building late if they're close to the glass, I just gotta stare at them for a bit!!
I'm looking forward to your 50th birthday. I wonder how many reptiles you'll present on that occasion? Congratulations from Germany, enjoy your birthday!
Happy birthday! Spidey Lizards were the first I hadn't heard of, which is odd since I live in FL. You'd think I'd have heard the rants about all the exotics by now. Also hadn't heard of the fish scale geckos, the first of the monitors, the big head turtle (omg, so cute!), I don't think the king rat snakes?, the green skinks, possibly the land iguanas, the odd-scaled snake, the sun tegu, the rattle-less snakes, and, ah, the buffet lizards. Funny. I figured I'd only know about 10% of the list, and I knew most of it ^^'
This is a GREAT VIDEO Adam and Big D. I'm going to be Googling all night , lol. Just one I thought I'd seen the coolest reptile , a cooler looking one popped up.
The ones that I didn't know: Spiderman lizard; Northern blunt spined monitors; Borneo earless monitors; Zongs oddscale snake; Gunther's sun tagus (interested in learning more about these); and buffer lizards. Happy birthday Adam.

There were 13 on the list I hadn't heard of and I was pleasantly surprised by how many of these "unknown" species I had heard of. The Fish Scale lizard is one I'd heard of before and the way they shed their scales as a defense mechanism is super awesome and gross at the same time.
I know this is a once a year kind thing but I would literally pay for more of these
RIGHT?! That's what we are focused on! Our footage was used for #13!
Patreon has a bunch! Personally I pay for the top tier and it's worth every penny!

I KNOW IM LATE BUT HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADAM! Thanks for getting me into the hobby!
I love Mata Matas! I saw them for the first time at an expo. I could never have one though, I struggle enough with a 30 gallon fish tank. Or snail tank, as it has now become...
Happy birthday!

I love their clothing
Happy birthday 🎉 great video, Solomon island boas are underrated. Tentacled snakes are ones I would love to see in the wild they look amazing
My brother and I used to catch reptiles out in the Mojave desert, where we grew up. Our best catch was a Gambelia wislizenii (leopard lizard) when I was 14.
Diamond just nuzzling into your neck omg my heart 🥹
I do love him!

I didn't know about the white eyed crocodile skinks, northern blunt spined monitors, zombie frogs, green blooded skinks, zong's odd scaled snakes, gunther sun tegus, catalina rattlesnakes, and buffet lizards. Very cool to learn about these animals!
oh absolutely!
I knew 18 of these reptiles/amphibians and I didn't know 14 of them.

Happy belated birthday Adam! Super interesting video, keep up the amazing work! (would love a pt. 2)
The most metal thing about the hairy frog is that it will break its own toes and use those as claws to defend itself.
SLAYEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Mang Shan Viper has the most insane pattern, need to see more of these.
Definitely!
