    Lovely review! As many fountain pens as I’ve accumulated over the years, this was my first “Grail Pen,” and still the one I find myself coming back to, time and again. It’s a die hard, and everything you described in the writing portion of the review. You made me want to buy it all over again. Well done.

    What a wonderful review! And so many very pertinent points casually strewn throughout the dialogue. I want one, even though it's slightly bigger than I am.

    Hello sir. Nice review. Is the nib larger than the Pelikan M1000's nib? Or, is it the same size as that of Pelikan M1000 nib?
    Which of the above mentioned pens (not the nibs) are gigantic?

    • @gentleman_of_the_pen
      @gentleman_of_the_pen  4 года назад +2

      Thanks for your nice words. I unfortunately don't have a M1000 on hand right now, but if I remember correctly, the two nibs are the same length. The proportions of the two pens are different but they are comparable in size. The M1000 was however more comfortable to write with because of the shape of the grip section. I hope it helps.

    I do have to say that this is my favorite pen. It surly has a mind of it’s own. It makes my writing experience so much more enjoyable and definitely makes me want to use it when filling out cards or just journaling or whatever it just makes me feel great when I sit down to write 👍😎👍

    I have the same nib size in my 149 but I can ever get any line variation. In fact I find it too broad. Especially paired with MB black ink

    • @gentleman_of_the_pen
      @gentleman_of_the_pen  3 года назад +2

      It is indeed very broad for a medium. The difference in line variation might have to do with the year the pen was made. Mine is quite old.

      @@gentleman_of_the_pen if it is vintage than yes. They where quite flex. Thanks for the reply. Best regards 👍

      @@bashasilvian Well, it depends on what you call vintage. It's a French model from 1975-1981 if I'm not mistaken.

      I just bought an 149 for 220€, it's second hand but writes awesome and the piston is still very smooth. But to be honest, my Pelikan m1000 has the better nib

    Lol, symbolic ink window? You clearly don’t know how to use it well, pun intended. Hold it horizontally, and hey presto, you know exactly how much is left at any time. Not exactly rocket science, now is it?
