Nice and cute. But in the EU selling and transporting pups less then 15 weeks old is a criminal offense. It's considered animal trafficking and animal abuse.

Dogs are being used as Christmas gifts, not sure the responsibility of dog ownership is fully understood. Wanting a cute puppy causes me concern. What happens when the puppy grows up and looses its cuteness. Like babies, puppies need to sleep alot, is bringing a puppy into a house where there are very young children, unfair to the dog.
This is why I've never gotten a puppy/dog as much as I'd absolutely LOVE to have one, I fully understand what a commitment and responsibility owning one entails. Getting any pet just because it's so adorable or I just want one so much is incredibly selfish. I would say it's even more of a commitment than having a baby. Dogs and all pets rely on their human for their entire life and for more than a child. Children eventually get to ages where they can do for themselves whereas pets can't feed themselves or take themselves to the vet.
I know when a new pup arrives into a house, an open top box is a good idea, it gives the pup some security, while he is getting to grips with his new world, but to put one in a box with the lid closed, and box wrapped, no idea how long they are in there, but must be a frightening experience for the pup, some don't even take them out of the box but screech and shout.
That was my thought, I look at my dog and think how lucky he was to land with us. Hate to think of dogs being Abandoned. Before you get a dog stop and think. With a dog comes responsibility not just to feed exercise etc, dogs are social animals, need company. They are expensive to look after. If you are in pet friendly rented accommodation what happens if you have to move out. A big problem in Ireland and am sure many countries, is a shortage of pet friendly rented accommodation.

If there is already a pet in the house, don't ignore that pet! Pay attention to both pet's at the same time!
