"You love them so much you're willing to deal with their discomfort and their withdrawal and their tantrums because you love them so much you're going to do the right thing for them even when they don't want it." Amen! Solid gold parenting advice right there!

I always feel better when eating plant based but i havent yet overcome the junk food temptations. I give in and then it takes months to get back on plant based. Ugh.
Question. So many people are resorting to carnivore eating and being healed of life long diseases. I cant imagine that being a healthy way of life and feel 20 years down the road they will have health issues doe to eating only meat.
However, since they have a lot of success i am beginning to think the key is not eating processed foods. I am confused by so many different eating styles, yet everyone is healing illnesses. Only thing i can think is removing processed foods is the key.

On carnivores: “Since they have a lot of success…”. Well, maybe they didn’t really have a lot of diet success. Ten years later a grim truth may set them back in the form of arterial sclerosis and heart disease. A number of thin people have some fat aortas.

I have been married for 39 years. I have been vegan for over 9 years, and my husband is not vegan. We shop both together or separately. I don't shop for his non vegan foods. I make my own meals and always offer him some usually he doesn't eat it except for Thanksgiving and Christmas. He does all his own cooking. We rarely eat out but when we do he always lets me choose were we eat. I am not sure how things would be if we still had young children in our home when one parent is vegan and one is not. It would be hard.

I agree and disagree. I don't want to make all my family be uncomfortable in their own home. I chose to eat this way and I don't expect them to all change their lives for me. We actually all buy our own groceries and all cook for ourselves. I just worry about my groceries and cooking and try my best to keep my foods separate from theirs. I am hoping to be a role model and for them to eventually try to eat more like me though. I wouldn't have a problem with giving company plant based though.
