At first, I was all cocky, thinking, "I wanna play this as an over-the-summer fun practice piece." Then I saw the treble clef. I surrender. Back to practice!
I have never seen a piece switch between clefs so much. Why does it do that? Does that make it easier to play? It is a great composition I've just never seen it before nor do I really understand the alto clef and it's purpose.
F flat is an enharmonic for E natural which basically means it’s the same fingering as E and sounds the same as E just spelled different. C flat is the enharmonic for B natural, so you would play it like a B natural. Hope this helps you in your journey with bassoon!
What a beautiful bassoon piece! Props to the composer and the musician
Thanks for your comment!
Now I can show my friends why I like the bassoon
Thanks my friend! 🎶
This is the video that motivates me as a bassoonist

Hi thanks for your message, I appreciate you like the composition. About the clef changing, I’m sorry but don’t see any alto clefs in the score...
It’s a tenor clef. The Do clef you see is on another line, making it tenor and not alto.
Molto bella. Dolce e malinconica nella parte centrale! #poulenc
Grazie mille!!
Sheeeeeesh thats fire
😎
Da ignorante in materia credo che Cugno sarebbe fiero di te :)
Ciao Matteo, buona carriera!
I am trying to learn this but have a question, I do not know how to play f flat and c flat.
