Bassoonist here. So amazing to hear such beautifully even, rich tone. Even the notoriously thin notes sound rich and match their neighbors. And exquisite phrasing and musicality throughout. Just gorgeous!
you know, i've never heard this piece and from the first half of it i thought it was going to be this calm warm and almost somberish little work, but nope, the last movement slapped me across the face and i never recovered :)
What a wonderful piece of music. It is sounds very Poulencesque. I usually don't get excited about music I h was haven't heard before but this blows me away. Esquisitely performed !
Bravissimo Jensen. A norwegian bassonist among the topp players. I hope he will do some more and better pieces,there is a lot great music written for the bassoon. Do they know you in Norway?

It's very like Poulenc's oboe sonata, but this piece predates it by about 14 years!
