How do people not know who Sue is. I was under the impression she was the most popular and famous trex to date. I read about her in books and saw her on tv 20 yrs ago... Sue is the most complete Tyrannosaurus specimen ever discovered (95%) and for a long time was considered to be the biggest Trex.
@knockoutanimatez not anymore he's second biggest. It's currently E.D cope to my knowledge. Nicknamed Copium Rex by many because his weight estimate is 12 tonnes...
K. And he literally reacts to these regularly so he literally was going to for multiple reasons outside of the peanut gallery. Not everyone needs 15 seconds of fame, bud....
To all of those who don't know who sue (FMNH PR 2081), she is the largest tyrannosaurus Rex specimen for the time when studying its remains and was found buy a paleontologist named sue hendrickson hense given the name "sue" and is currently resides on the exhibit at the field museum in Chicago.
Strange to use Sue when Scotty was much larger and heavier. He is also a very complete specimen. He was 43.5ft long and around 13ft tall at the hips. Scotty was estimated to weigh around 20,000Ibs. But wait until you look up Cope. The Rex to rule them all.
@flightlesslord2688 Honestly, Sue is not even close to Scotty. But I do agree she is good enough for the video. Especially if Rexy is loosely based on her.
@Acnologia120 The reason for using Sue is because she's one of the most complete in addition to being one of the largest. Scotty is also massive, but is less complete by quite a fair bit. Cope and Bertha are almost certainly more massive than either of them, but they are so incomplete that estimates for exactly how large they are are pretty unstable.
Heya! Thanks for the video, Riot!. :) Yeah, I agree with you. Ever since I was a kid, what always gave me pause was Jurassic Park’s/World’s carnivores. They were realistically unrealistic. No other large apex predator is as outwardly aggressive, hostile, and robotic as this film franchises carnivores. With only a few scene exceptions; whenever a human or another prey item is on-scene with a carnivore, the carnivore immediately drops what they’re doing, disregards any danger or regard for their own life, and goes after said human/prey animal and is not allowed to stop until the human/prey animal dies, the human/prey animal gets away, or the carnivore itself dies. In that regard, many of InGen’s dinosaur’s lack self-awareness and situational awareness. Two things that almost all animals have. I fully understand and am aware that all the dinos in Jurassic Park/World were genetically modified and were designed that way they were to be: 1) bigger, scarier, and to appeal to the general publics knowledge and interest, and 2) to be utilized as weapons of war. Still, I would have liked to see more scenes where any of the large carnivore dinos had personality and were just like: …”Hrm…Fire. …Hrm, I’m all bloody and bruised. Nope, not worth it,” or “…I * COULD * kill and eat this thing….but nah. -_-“ or even just a random acknowledgement of a human/prey animal on-screen, but they weren’t n’t hungry and just wanted to be left alone.
30 fucking years ago. God where did the time go. I swear the last 10 years have been so much of the same it hasn’t felt like anytime has past. For me it was just last week I was 15 years old trying to figure out how to navigate an unforgiving world.
4:33 in the 2nd book they correct the motion based sight error. A dude who was told the rex wouldn't see him if he didnt move got chomped and one of the other main characters points out he was acting on some bad information. That the real reason the rex would ignore someone that was holding still was simply that the rex wasnt hungry and mocked Grant's theory.
The T-rex's also had a great sense of humor, T-rex Sam especially was hailed as one of the greatest stand up comedians of all time. You should check his roast of Spinosaurus Billy, very funny.
Three reasons why the Spinosaurus won in JP3 1. The Spinosaurus was an experiment that was treated like crap in development, it was a very aggressive to anything. (It also lived in the northwest part of the island, where as the second film it took place in the south west part of the island, which explains why the spino wasn't in the film) The Spinosaurus was also armored btw 2. The Rex in the third film was an inexperienced sub adult male that primarily scavenged (due to Mr. Jack Horner being the ass of a guide to the dinosaurs.) Plus since the rexes and all the dinosaurs are technically genetic clones, it's bite force may not have been all that strong to begin with. That and add on the excelerated growth rate, lack of experience, and what Goji Center said about the teeth, the Rex had no chance at coming out of that fight alive. 3. The Spinosaurus was in an already vengeful mood. The plane slashed the sail of the Spino (the blood you saw on the windshield of the plane) and when it saw the humans inside, it was now on a vengeance quest. That's the reason why it kept following them. So an already hyper aggressive creature that was mistreated by its human captores on a human murder spree, so the Spino was already in an agitated state when the Rex got there. And that's why the Spinosaurus won against the Rex
The E.D Cope Specimen is now considered to much more massive then Scotty and Sue. Cope is around 11.5 tons. The Bertha Specimen is even larger than Cope. Paper will be coming out soon.
The Indom vs T-Rex one is highly debatable, Indom is still an unnatural, bullet resistant hide, and was able to scratch of concrete. But regardless if the irl Rex wins, it wouldn’t be easy
it isn’t debatable at all, you cant talk about the Jurassic Park dinos in the same way as the real life ones. Jurassic Park dinos are WAY stronger than the real ones they have feats of strength much proportionally higher than what theyre bodies would imply. Its stops being realistic fight science and becomes power scaling. Thats the weird thing about Gojo Center is they ignore powerscaling and treat everything as 100% realistic which makes theyre discussions about fictional characters inaccurate sometimes
Eh the whole power scaling thing with the dinosaurs can be a bit inconsistent and also just weird if we did apply it. plus then there is just the plot itself and it gets confusing it’s why people don’t really like Jurassic world and after much.
those hands were only catch fish they mainly spend their time in water there was another giant therapod at their time carchanrodontosaurus who they avoided

The Velociraptor is the third largest raptor species, Jurassic Park made it 2-3 times it's size in real life. Deinonychus was the second largest. While Utah Raptor's dwarfed both of them, they could weigh up to 2,200lbs.
Gotta be this guy but the raptors size is accurate in book it's mentioned exact species however that species is now more commonly referred as Deinonychus
Apparently the dinosaurs of the first novel in Jurassic park were all sick and also dying which does make sense it would have bad eye sight but for the other movies they corrected the genome too combat the birth defects that some of the dinos had. So the staying still shouldn’t really work in the new movies.
So this now begs the question for me. What's the biggest female tyrannosaurus ever found? And what's the biggest male tyrannosaurus ever found? Because from what I'm hearing from comments both can get pretty freaking big
scientists dont know their gender because they are fossils but male trex could be bigger because in most birds, crocodiles and lizards males are always bigger and the therapods are closely related to them another reason they fight with other male trex to win a mate
