      I think Parviz Ghazi Saeed's books are the best fantasy stories ever written. The books are awesome and every moment and every chapters of books are incredible. I would definitely recommend his books, because it keeps you reading without ever wanting to put the book done. By end of the books you come to love the characters and want to read more.
      If you haven't read any of Parviz Ghazi Saeed's books you are missing out on the best series.

      Kindle Family:
      The Kindle Oasis: The largest and most expensive Kindle. $250 Price tag.
      The Kindle Paperwhite: The middle child and a jack-of-all-trades E-reader. $130 Price tag.
      The Entry-level Kindle (Base model): The smallest and cheapest kindle. $60 Price tag.
      My Opinion: Go with the Paperwhite. It gets the job done, all while looking stylish with its bezel-less design. A moderate price tag for a good e-reader with an expansive library.

    This is EXACTLY what I was looking for - an independent review of the two latest Kindles out there. I was trying to decide which one to upgrade to, I currently have the 2015 paperwhite, and this video shows the difference between the two new ones concisely. I've decided on the 2019 Kindle versus the paperwhite, based on my reading preferences. I like the brightness of it, and am not concerned about the lower dpi as I am only reading books. Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Hi, did you end up buying the 2019 kindle? I am eyeing to buy refurbished paperwhite 7th gen (2015) but just this week I found out that the 2019 kindle has now a variant of 8gb of storage. So now I am totally confused, based on your experience what do you think I should buy?

    • @cathyhunter185
      @cathyhunter185 3 года назад +10

      @@eliodon9092 I would choose the Paperwhite, hands down. I bought the 2019 Kindle but returned it and stuck with my 2013 Paperwhite. I didn’t think I’d mind the lower dpi, but it was noticeable. Also the front lighting didn’t make it brighter, just different. Regarding storage, my 2013 Paperwhite just has 2 gb and I have never run out of space. At the moment it still has 1.1 gb free. Having said that, I do not store a lot of books on my device at once. The 2015 has 4 gb, that should be more than enough depending on your usage. I’ve read that you can fit over 1,000 ebooks per gb. Oh yeah another thing I didn’t like about the 2019 Kindle was the slippery plastic case, felt cheap. I like the kinda rubberized finish on the Paperwhite. Overall I find the Paperwhite to be the higher end model, even an older one. Hope this helps.

    I just received my entry level Kindle and love it. I have an Oasis which is my main, but I got the new one since I have two Amazon accounts - one in the US which I use for the Oasis, and one in Japan I use for Japanese books. It is just too much trouble to keep switching accounts so that is why I got the secondary Kindle.
    I was a bit concerned about the lower resolution, but I have been pleasantly surprised that it is not an issue at all, even with furigana which are very small. Very pleased with the small and light form factor. I'm actually loving it more than the Oasis.
    I love simplicity in ereaders (the Oasis is a bit of overkill IMHO) and the base Kindle hits the spot.

It would only make a difference if you're into manga, even then of course you can zoom in and such, but for that use case (mine for example) the 300ppi makes it perfect. No need to zoom for small text balloons, no details loss, it really looks like good quality prints. Take note: good quality prints, there's definitely some crappier paper prints than the Paperwhite screen out there. 1. MOBI, AZW, AZW3, etc are made in such a way that Pages can be divided into multiple pages in proper dimensions for smaller screen size i.e. they are dynamic.
      2. But, PDF pages are fixed or to be specific static, whole page will shown in that small screen rather than dividing into multiple page. When whole page is shown in small screen, text will be small.
      So, you need to zoom the page which in turns loads the page again in E-Reader. Also, Kindle are not optimised for PDF, so loading time is more for every page when you visit or zoom the page.
      3. PDF can be converted to MOBI, but such conversion are sometimes faulty i.e. text cannot be decoded in proper formatting.

    Good review, but no conclusion of which is better.
    I just bought the basic Kindle on the strength of the reviews on RUclips, which stated much the same, that the resolution difference is not so noticeable, since I only read books. It's lighter and slightly smaller with the same size screen, and I don't need the waterproofing. The biggest deciding factor then remained with the appearance, I do not like the paperwhites prominent logo in white on the front, too distracting. I got the latest edition with front light and 8Gb memory, for a saving of about $43. Since I didn't have the opportunity to view them side by side, I'll never see the difference in resolution.

      I personally chose the paperwhite. It is waterproof (and I'm always waiting for the bus under the rain, or drinking tea while reading; so many paper books ruined...) and does not have the screen on a lower lever. I hated that on my first Kobo Aura HD, I always felt like it MADE shadows get on the screen; So annoying!
      It's true, you get a lot of fingerprints on the black part of the paperwhite, but considering that and the difference in price as negative aspects, waterproofing, one-level screen, 5 LEDs for an even lighting, higher resolution, and the rubberized back (I don't think this last two points really make the difference, but it is still something the paperwhite does better) are for me enough to make it worth the money.
      And we should always remember that the paperwhite is not old. It is older than the new kindle, but it came out in 2018, that's hardly a year ago. I bought my Kobo Aura HD in 2013 and it already had the light, and also a bigger screen (6.8"). I prefer my new kindle for those two little things (waterproof and no bezel) but in the six years no real difference in technology was made, so I don't really worry about my kindle getting old. I don't know Amazon, but my Kobo also has the latest firmware update. Just to say.
      Really hope I helped you make your choice :) mine was hard as well

      If you need E-Ink Reader for reading PDF, then avoid taking E-Readers for screen size less than 9.7 inch!

      Well, definitely made for poolside, beach or bathtub reading. Not like any sane mind in management would imagine people do like diving and reading at the same time...

    I haved a Basic one but later I sold it for a Paperwhite becuase of the front light and the better screen, if you want to read manga/comics the paperwhite is a better choice but if you want one just to read books the new Basic with backlight is better for your wallet the resolution isn't that important

    Is the browser better now for the paper white? (I have a very old paper white, maybe 5yrs old). Just wondering if I can read manga (Crunchyroll) from this

      There's very little difference between your Paperwhite and a 2019 Paperwhite. Hell, it has been 10 generations and I'm still waiting for the device to be responsive.

    • @conraddevera
      @conraddevera 5 лет назад

      @@christosbinos8467 yeah mine is very old, the case is melting lol but it still works well for its purpose. I'm sure the higher resolution looks better, but was hoping the browser can be used for Manga at least.

    Seems like the basic is all you need for reading standard books. Its just if that book has a lot of pictures, it wont be as clear as the paperwhite. New basic version has 8gb of storage too.
