Not really, this piece is mosly about technique, written for the player to exhibit his talen. The really brilliant pieces have not that purpose. But I'm not saying it's not awsome and delicious to listen/see a pianist playing it.

CAUSE IT'S ABOVE 90 DEGREES THERE AND HE'S PERFORMING ONE OF THE MOST RENOWNED PIECES EVER WRITTEN IN A SUIT. Even if you're a pro, that's kinda RIDICULOUS.

nibols23 Jorge Bolet played La Campanella and his version is, as you say, too soft, too mellow - too restrained, I think. This is wonderful! Also John Ogden's version is worth a listen
Incredible. The technique and control at speed, literally blows the mind. The energy that must course through the body to contain that piece defies description. A most sublime performance especially when you know the piece.
Great pianist, great performance. I've seen many versions of La Campanella played by different pianists. This is my favourite version with the best clarity, fluency, pace and intensity. And I like his genuine style.
I love hearing him play. Such an innocence and beauty to his performances. This was taken from an excellent documentary that all classical lovers should watch.

Kissin said in his BBC Proms interview that he never really liked much the way he started off his shows with a regular line up starting with something more simple and playing hard pieces like transcendental etudes last. I think he said something like a pianist should try to please his audience even if it sometimes meant being a bit boring to the pianist. He never at any point said that he didn't like practicing hard pieces. It was more that his interests were elsewhere. I wonder how much of that holds true to concert pianists in general. As a pianist you'll probably find enjoyment in all the new pieces you practice but I wonder how often do you find yourself in a situation where you are choosing songs for the audience and not songs for yourself. How often is it your choice anyway?
a hard choice indeed. we want to satisfy our self but in other hand, we have to satisfy the audience.. when in fact the audience is paying us to be entertained.
The choice is almost never the pianists. It depends on who you are playing for, age groups, religion, and so many other factors. When playing in a group of fellow pianists one is more apt to play technically challenging pieces, because they will recognize the beauty of the piece while non-musicians will not enjoy it.
Best performance of la Campanella ive seen yet, yea he missed some notes barely tho, but his tempo and consistency is the best ive seen so far, nobody cant too him in my opinion.
How is there any dislikes on this at all, do people not understand how long this man must of practiced and repeated and fixed his mistake and finding the correct technique and had to wake up every morning at a specific time just to practice and also go to school if he has to. It’s insane to dislike this kid instead of support as much as he deserves. This man deserves as much support as a popular RUclipsr instead of just some average kid on the internet. He feels emotion, and plays like he’s just in his house with out an insanely large crowd right in front of him, and if he messes up than it’s gonna get him hated on.

Kissin said in his BBC Proms interview that he never really liked much the way he started off his shows with a regular line up starting with something more simple and playing hard pieces like transcendental etudes last. I think he said something like a pianist should try to please his audience even if it sometimes meant being a bit boring to the pianist. He never at any point said that he didn't like practicing hard pieces. It was more that his interests were elsewhere. I wonder how much of that holds true to concert pianists in general. As a pianist you'll probably find enjoyment in all the new pieces you practice but I wonder how often do you find yourself in a situation where you are choosing songs for the audience and not songs for yourself. How often is it your choice anyway?
a hard choice indeed. we want to satisfy our self but in other hand, we have to satisfy the audience.. when in fact the audience is paying us to be entertained.
The choice is almost never the pianists. It depends on who you are playing for, age groups, religion, and so many other factors. When playing in a group of fellow pianists one is more apt to play technically challenging pieces, because they will recognize the beauty of the piece while non-musicians will not enjoy it.

Best performance of la Campanella ive seen yet, yea he missed some notes barely tho, but his tempo and consistency is the best ive seen so far, nobody cant too him in my opinion.

How is there any dislikes on this at all, do people not understand how long this man must of practiced and repeated and fixed his mistake and finding the correct technique and had to wake up every morning at a specific time just to practice and also go to school if he has to. It’s insane to dislike this kid instead of support as much as he deserves. This man deserves as much support as a popular RUclipsr instead of just some average kid on the internet. He feels emotion, and plays like he’s just in his house with out an insanely large crowd right in front of him, and if he messes up than it’s gonna get him hated on.
