    Regarding @5:50, the tricky F#-E#-D## turn, I was thinking of doing 4-3-2-4-(1). Using 4 instead of 3 makes it easier for me to reach down with my thumb. I'm just starting this piece so not 100% sure about that, yet... (maybe I should add that I use 2-4 a lot more than most others, apparently - based on editors' fingering. I also prefer to trill on 2-4). BTW, so happy to find this tutorial, I can see right away that you are an excellent pianist and "teacher". Subscribed.

    This comment is going to seem like a Simply Piano add 😂 but for your tutorial.

    But As a RUclips taught beginner (not intermediate at all but able to play some intermediate pieces ) I never even dared to look up tutorials for La campanella. But I am glad I listened to my intrusive thoughts and did anyway 😂 your tutorial feels like a cheatcode. I am already flying over that keyboard and hitting those notes without any tension or issue in 2 days thanks to your video.
    By the way.. I am not aspiring to become a professional pianist. I want to play this piece because I love it. Complete mastery isn’t my goal. My audience is me, my friends and family (who are already extremely impressed when I play River flows in You)
    Thank you so much 🙏🏻

    Sedulous, cogent and entertaining. Kudos! Lots more please.
    People should also check out the Busoni edition. His alterations and adjustments help immensely.

    The trickiest part for me personally is where the main theme is played in quarter notes. They span just over an octave and it's suggested you use fingers 1, 3, 5,1 per quad.

    Great video Nolan. Would you consider making such a video for Rachmaninoff's moment musicaux no 4?

    Could you maybe do a tutorial (if you haven't already) on the flight of the bumblebee by Rimsky Korsakov Please?

      Maybe! I’ve never played it, and these tutorials are a ton of work to put together, so I definitely can’t promise anything anytime soon, but I’ll keep it in mind!

    hey nolan! How did you connected garritan yamaha cfx to your electric piano? I have garittan steinway and i would like to know if i need only 2 cables: first from computer to my yamaha clavinova(midi) and second from stereo spekears to laptop... ??

    • @NolanMillerPiano
      @NolanMillerPiano  3 месяца назад

      @@bernardzlebic8204 I ran the software on my computer, with a single cable from my keyboard to the computer. For recording, I directly recorded onto the computer, using headphones to monitor. If you are using speakers instead of headphones, you would want to connect them to your computer, but I don’t think you should need any extra cables beyond that.

      You should check out imslp! It’s a great resource for finding free scores of public domain music.
