I'm liking your friend Bokyung already. You guys are a good pair. Funny, silly and pretty!!! Looking forward to seeing the rest. Btw, your Tagalog is getting better and better every time you visit the Philippines. And you friend Bokyung is already picking up some Tagalog words quickly.👏👏👏
Baguio is the summer capital of the Philippines because of its climate. The average temperature ranges from 15-23°C even during the summer. It's often mistaken as the strawberry capital as well, but the actual strawberry capital is the neighboring town, La Trinidad. Anyways, welcooome to Baguio... hope you enjoy your stay~
There's a lot of Korean schools in there and one of which is called Pines International Academy. Majority of students are from SoKor and the rest from other Asian countries like Japan, China and Mongolia including Russia.
yea, Sylvia and her friend should coordinate with Korean Community Baguio so that they can take part of the Flower Festival next year. That would be awesome!!!
OMG! Back to the Philippines and straight to Baguio! It’s good to see Baguio through your eyes! Wouldn’t have recognized Session Road if you didn’t say where you were at. Glad to see you getting around more this time around. Having your bestie travel around with you makes this visit twice the fun. Happy to see you enjoying taho more this time too!
Last time, you were introduced to the Philippines by a filipino friend; This time, you are introducing the Philippines to a Korean friend. 👍🇵🇭 I am from Baguio City, allow me to welcome you to our City. Take care and have fun 👍❤️
im so jealous. Baguio is my ultimate fav place back home. not just because of the scenery, but also because of lovely memories. Baguio will always have a special place in my heart 😌
The word taho is derived from the Chinese word for the soft soybean pudding douhua. Taho originated in China in the time of the Han Dynasty (206 to 220 A.D.). According to legend, it was accidentally discovered by a cook whose original intent was to make soy milk. But he added impure salt to the concoction. The salt’s high-calcium content curdled the soup, producing a soft, silky substance we now know as taho. Mixed with almond syrup and beans, the douhua became popular in China. Taho eventually found its way to the Philippines by way of cultural and economic ties with the Chinese for thousands of years. Instead of using almonds for the syrup, locals used sugar, which resulted in a stronger and sweeter syrup. But it is not only in the Philippines where douhua found its home. The treat also made its way to Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, among other countries, where its name took different forms with varying similarities. In Indonesia, it is called tahwa. In Malaysia, it is taufufa. Singapore and Taiwan call it douhua, while Hong Kong knows it as Dofuhua-Lamma. DOUHUA,TAHO = GRANDFATHER BOBA 😊👌
wow you kept your promise, you did went back to Philippines and with Bokyung too.... im so proud of you now because you are the one explaining now about Philippine Culture like Jessica to you before. The Taho dance is epic 😂
like seriously Sylvia im following your progress with the Philippine culture and i can tell you are slowly becoming a Philippine expert wow im soooooo proud of you right now. i have watched all your videos like literally and i think you are genuinely a Filipina at heart.
since youre in Baguio, i suggest ride a bus going to Bontoc, Mountain Province and see the famous Sagada. youll have to stay 2 nights and 3 days to explore Sagada. it is the trip from Baguio going to Sagada that is breathtaking since you will pass through the Halsema highway and will pass through the Cordillera mountain range. tell the bus driver to stop in the “highest elevated highway in the Philippines” to take vlogs/photos. there is a museum in Bontoc if your’re interested in Igorot history/mountain locals in general….
Sylvia, the "tapioca" that you had isn't actually tapioca. It's sago, which has been part of Filipino desserts for much longer than boba. Boba is a more recent fad, which tbh took me some time to get used to because the texture is different. But everyone in the Philippines grew up with sago.
i must go back to the vlog when jessica made you a home made taho and give you some run down of whats in it and the different flavors, i remember she made you a strawberry taho too and mentioned its famous in baguio...ohhh memories with your old friend jess
Having a travel buddy like Bokyung will make your trip so much fun. She can match your level of "kakulitan".😊 excited to see Bokyung in the next video.😊
Oh yeah! I missed that kind of contagious laughter only a Sylvia Kim can deliver. Welcome back to PH! And doubled the fun being with your bestie Bo Kyung who's equally as lovely as you. Enjoy more of your visit this time.
OMG Bokyung is super funny! hahaha! Her eyes are expressive! And she can throw funny antics like you! Also that is the yummiest version of Taho, Strawberry and Ube Taho from Baguio. it's a great start for traditional Filipino snack. If I may suggest, there's a lot of physical activities around PH. Maybe you'd want to try it out; especially since you had a tough time recovering from all the PH Food weight from your first trip.
What a pleasant surprise to see you back in the country so soon. Bokyung seems to be enjoying her time. You both emanate such positive energy. And it doesn't hurt you're both so easy on the eyes. Safe travels, Sylvia.
The taho you've tried before (when you said it should be black) is the normal one. It's plain sugar syrup. Baguio just leveled up their version with strawberry and ube flavor because they are known for those produce (fruits and crops). I still like the normal one over strawberry but i haven't tried the ube yet.
WAAAAAAAAAAAAA. Sobrang proud ako sa'yo Sylvia! Nagbabiyahe ka na mag-isa. Tapos kasama mo rin yung bestfriend mo. Nakakamiss naman yung tutoring classes natin. Ingat kayo and enjoy.
"Mahal kita po" is really really appropriate. If you really respect the person you love. It is a deeper kind of love in my opinion because respect and love should go hand by hand.
Welcome to my City! There's more to visit here in the Kaigorotan province. You should try Igorot authentic food. (Igorot - Native people in Northernwest of Luzon.) Looking forward to more of your adventures.😊😊😊
Add more Vlogs with your friend Bokyung, enjoy sightseeing in different parts of the Philippine regions. Well improved with your Tagalog communication. Hope one day you will meet your friend Jessica Lee soon.
Your friend is as pretty as you. I'm so glad you decided to visit Baguio City, it has been a comforting place for us because of the weather and just the whole city. Ang bilis ng balik mo dto sa Pinas, we're so proud that you are loving our country and also bringing someone with you.
welcome back.. you're connection with bokyung is really refreshing and the chemistry between you is really evidently genuine.. and it seems bokyung is really nice to be friends with.. and not gonna suggest for must try foods for you and your friends but i advice that look online for filipino foods or resto and try what picks your interest..
Wow! We are all waiting for this. Thank you po for this vlog. Baguio is really a beautiful place to go and your tagalog is improving a lot omoo we're so proud! Seeing you confidently teaching Bokyung eonnie with the things you know is so amazing. 🥺💛
I don't know if you're still here in the Philippines but just enjoy your vacation here in the Philippines, ate sylvia and ate bokyung. You both are beautiful and funny and lovely girls. 💖💖💖.stay safe.

If I could meet Sylvia by accident in the Philippines, I'm pretty sure I'd be cured of depression for at least a few days. 😂 Btw, you and Bokyung vibe really well. She's a great addition to the vlogs and she seems to have a nice, fun and silly personality, but calm at the same time. She looks open to new experiences as well and that's good to see.
I miss Baguio ❤ We just went there 2 months ago, and Ube and Strawberry taho are both exclusive in Baguio. I've never seen taho in those flavors here in MNL since Ube and Strawberry are expensive down in Metro MNL versus very staple and just grew in Baguio.
Your friend looks like a Korean drama actress. I'm a real man just want to explain but just want to appreciate the white dress of your friend. I find it beautiful and conservative. It's like a traditional Japanese dress but with a modern take. What I'm trying to say is women can still look beautiful and attractive even if they're not showing their skin. I like the filter you applied on your vlog. Has a cinematic effect. Very nostalgic look most specially when you were walking down the steep slope of a Baguio road.
As a Filipino that’s now lived most of my life in Australia, and considers myself Australian first before a Filipino, I love how you painted Baguio through this video from 7:45. I just fell in love with Philippines again.
OMG! Love this video so much! I wanted to visit Baguio too and have my breakfast there! Btw Your friend has a very pretty smile! You two have a very good chemistry! Hopefully we can see her more in your vlogs!
Looks like You and Bokyung gonna be travelling alot more here in the Philippines and that's awesome. Looking forward for the next part of your trip. BTW I love the background music.
Bokyung unnie is soooo easy to and comfortable to be with💜 I like her energyyyyy and also Sylvia, thank you for appreciating our culture🥰 As a Filipino, We Love you both!!❤❤❤
Taho is a breakfast for filipinos. When I was a kid I always wait for that to pass by our house. When I started working on the way to work I always buy that :) In Baguio because it is the strawberry capital of the Philippines, taho is flavored with that. Sometimes its flavored with grapes.
It’s so good to see Sylvia finally enjoy the PH like she just used to learn everything from Jessica and the books and youtube but now she’s living it. I love your friend Bokyung too. You both look so happy!
This reminded me of the time Jessica made taho for Sylvia 😞 it was a failure back then. But I'm glad Sylvia got to try the real taho here in the Philippines. Although its strawberry and ube flavor instead of the original arnibal.
Sylvia, your tagalog is getting better and better now. ☺️ and you're bestie is so funny and light too ☺️ glad you visit baguio. I miss it there except the traffic lol
When sylvia says "D-day for manila, boracay and baguio" i was like guurrrl you're up for adventure! Wishing for your fast recovery or you won't be able to enjoy all the feast as always take care ate sylv~!!!
Welcome back, Sylvia! You landed at Clark International Airport from Incheon? I like Bokyung ... she seems very positive, adventurous, and humorous. The cursing part in Tagalog was so funny! Enjoy the Pilippines!!
Wow you can already go to Philippines alone and you seemed to know your way very well already. Enjoy you time again in the Philippines, you and your friend are both adorable! I hope you and Jessica and Moy will have a reunion there.

Many Koreans actually love Baguio because the climate is similar to Korean autumn and spring.
