Laing is a dried up taro shoots!
Before it would be cook, it should be dried atleast a day or two.
With coconut base flavoring and sometimes a chili flavor.
The best of Laing is when it has its natural oil of coconut!

Another interesting content again from sylvia. Yes, I think there are Filipinos who don't want to eat lady's fingers or gumbo (Filipinos call it okra). Maybe it's because of its slimy taste, but it is said to be a nutritious vegetable and good for the body. You and your brother have a resemblance, only his face is rounder. Filipinos all over the world will like you because you introduce to your friends/family how delicious Filipino dishes are and how rich Filipino culture is. You are like a Filipino ambassador representing Filipino dishes even though you are pure Korean. I also noticed that your brother liked the filipino food that you ordered, for him to taste. Sisig with mayo is like "Dinakdakan" in ilokano provinces. A sisig like dish but very different.

i would love to see you try pangat na isda.. it's simillar to sinigang but they only use fresh tomato, tamarind and kamias fruit. (either of the three) and tinolang manok.
