Brazil is very moved to this because in Brazil Static Shock was nonstop transmitting over and over again for several years, many people grow up watching Static Shock when they were having a lunch.
It's one of most nostalgic animations here, one part of our childhood for sure.

This project needs more backing from the black community and the comic book community. Twenty years ago, static was introduced on the WB Saturday morning line up. Statics popularity along, with Black Lightning, needs a big-screen movie. Thank you for having the courage to make this short film.

Static is my childhood hero. I grew up watching him on television when I was young and later on in my late teens online. Making Virgil a quipless thug ruins what made him such an entertaining hero. Another reason Virgil was such a great hero was his strong morals. Even though at the start of the series when Virgil got caught up in gang violence he never would have **asked** for a firearm let alone use it; He wasn't a mean, spiteful person. Finally, Virgil is a brilliant individual and not some thug... He even created tech (even without Richie, his lame white sidekick; later turned superhero partner "gear"). Not seeing him use his deadpool/spiderman charm/wit was extremely painful to my heart. Don't kid yourselves... they butchered Virgil Hawkins aka Static.

Static was the first comic I ever read. Before the big names I was a Milestone fan. Static, Icon, Shadow Cabinet, Blood Syndicate. I loved these characters. I know they weren't written for people like me, but I'm so glad Milestone was my into to comics. Thanks for bringing my favorite hero to life!

I’m not even a Static Shock fan...or I wasn’t.....and I thought this is one of the best fan films I’ve ever seen. Hell, one of the best independently created RUclips films ever created.

I just saw this for the first time. It kept my interest from beginning to end where some other filmmakers trying to breach the "Static" character, failed miserably. I'm impressed by the deepness of Mr. Kirkman's vision in the creation of this short film. How he paid attention to detail and kept the view real and true to the "original" ideas of the creator(s) of this groundbreaking comic character. Looking forward to the next project from Mr. Kirkman.

I collected Milestone Comics years ago and still have the first issues of Icon. These characters are awesome ! I wanted to collect the action figures but none were ever produced. This video is AMAZING !!!!! Thank you so much for producing this work !!!!!

This is an awesome film, one of the few Dc Comic heros that needed the attention to be brought to life. As a St. Louis indie filmmaker myself, I give you guys so much props for working your magic and bringing Static Shock to life. Cinematography, story, actors and direction is spot on! Bravo and cheers! Looking forward to more of what you guys have in store!

The only problem with seeing some many of the same race in one movie is that I need to keep track of who is who, the only people that I remember what they look like is Larry, Virgil, and Robert (Virgil’s Dad)
David got mad and recast the actor playing ICON portrayed by actor comedian Jerell Moffett “TheRealJmoney” because he was unwilling to compromise his sexuality or the character’s with LGBTQ subliminal advertising. Therefore the sound is cut to undercut the actor unfortunately.
I Love it.... great storyline & nice pace. I was immersed throughout the entire film. It definitely creates a sense of anticipation. Cant wait to see ICON.

The fight scene in the hallway is a standout, because you can tell Virg is no big hand-to-hand guy just yet, but when each punch is like taking a cattle prod to the face, you almost feel bad for the bad guys!
And when he shows Ritchie his power, that had to be the coolest thing. Great effects!
And great job, over all. You have much to be proud of!

Also, I have a sneaking suspicion that this guy would be fantastic with other characters in comics that have become neglected recently:
- SHAZAM
- Hardware, Icon, and the entire Dakotaverse
- Miguel O'Hara (Spider-Man 2099)
- And SOOOO many more.
If creators had the same understanding and appreciation of the characters, they might stop making cash-grabbing, nostalgic movies and really do the more obscure characters justice.

I still watch Static Shock to this day, and I'm 26 😂. This was one of my most favorite fan films, and I love the creativity to it with the acting and effects. Dude, I swear you should be making movies in Hollywood right now.

You did a excellent job although it's more based on the TV show them a comic( I'm a big fan of the comic.)
I was engaged and brought into the world of static and it was good to be there again. Please continue keep it going and hopefully someone will tap you to do an official story for static and maybe other Milestone characters.
