For a fan film, the production quality of this is EPIC! I would love to see what you could accomplish with a decent budget. Excellent job and keep at it!
Was amazing being part of this, and I'm extremely happy with how it all turned out! ❤ beautifully shot and amazing soundwork, and im not sure how everyone looks so good on screen, given we were all dripping with sweat on a 98 degree 99% humidity day in the deep woods😅 Until the next one!!!
Wow this is a great story. I really like it. This film is absolutely everything that a Star Wars story needs to have: fun and excitement. I really love the lightsaber battle and the action scenes.
Holy shit, the swordplay was AWESOME! This was amazing, so good! I feel like I watched a movie clip. It’s nice the Imps have been winning a few lately.
This short is great! Sometimes I wonder what shows like these would produce with a $180 million budget that doesn’t have social political agendas being shoved in the audience’s face.
I'm old, not quite as old as Chewbacca but nearly....I'm 50 earth years old. One of the really cool things to witness in that half century has been to see the evolution of the different movies and programmes since the prequels were released. I think we tried a few fan films using VHS camcorders in the 1980s which was fun but we had very little else to work with. In this age of amazingly powerful consumer level equipment and software the outer rim is just the beginning! I liked your production and think setting it in a forest was a nice contrast to harsh imperial settings or scorching deserts....what was on that diskette?
This is phenomenal. Disney, with almost unlimited resources, couldn't hold a candle to this. I also really appreciate the fact that the Inquisitor was very competent as opposed to the goofy edgelords we're used to.
The initial lightsaber work was not very good, the group of Jedi was also not very convincing with their stances, etc. But then again, not all Jedi were warriors. The epic duel - with few exceptions - was a lot better, the acting was actually quite good. The scoring as well. What really was outstanding was the cineamatography. Simply great. Diverse and innovative. All in all a very good fan film. Great work! Keep it coming. :)
Mmm, I thought the initial swordplay was ‘acceptable.’ But I was really caught with the duel, I thought it was done superbly well, especially given that there weren’t the dizzying camera angles to speed it up. Their athletic performance was impressive, the swordsmanship lightning fast and accurate. Really, I thought this could have been a movie clip.
I hate to tell you this Chris… but there are several canonical examples of Jedi indeed running through the forest with fully erect lightsabers… unfortunately we couldn’t afford the speeder bikes
We literally hitched a ride on spaceX and flew rc models through the trash heap that surrounds our planet. Blew our entire budget then had to scrounge coins out of our couches for the rest. Seriously, though, it was a talented CGI guy who made that magic (check out the exploding tree branch for more amazing talent). Glad you liked it! Hoping to make more fun for our nerdy eyes to feast on before too long:)
Great job! Although I was wondering, the opening prologue suggests that Elick and his master crashlanded in the opening stages of Order 66, and that this was in 20BBY. Of course Order 66 wasn't issued until 18BBY. Could you please clarify the timeline? Thanks a lot! :)
Clarification is after months of editing ole dingus here (me) forgot BBY moves backwards similar to BCE. So in trying to put it into the beginnings of order 66 across the galaxy I actually moved it a year back from when order 66 took place. Just pretend it says 18BBY and then maybe 50% of the movie makes sense 😂
@@TheA8leeWow, that was an amazing catch. Nicely done, and nicely asked. As a viewer, I really appreciate and respect constructive comments like yours.
can't lie. fight scenes were not good sadly. Also order 66 happened in 19bby not 20bby. 5 Jedi being killed by a (Disney canon inquisitor) would not be believable. (Legends inquisitor defiantly) Also 3 jedi and like 3 gunmen being forced to run from 4 stormtroopers is crazy funny.
Totally an oversight on our part! Good catch friend! We coulda used an expert on the crew like you for the edit. We'll call this story legends canon so the mistakes are more excusable lol. As for the stormtroopers, I'll make sure the wonderful Jared Kellar gets crafting more stormtrooper armor for the next one! Cheers friend.
Pretty nitpicking, honestly. Order 66 started in 19bby, yes, it is an error on our part, but it is easy to tell that this is after the first wave of the order and on a non-central planet. The jedi we see are less warriors and were likely less experienced than those eliminated in episode 3. As far as the troopers, it is assumed there are more than 4, given the dialogue of platoons and the presence of TIE fighters and star destroyers. Next time feel free to send armor our way so we can have more in one shot. Try to remember this is a budget fan film and use the same suspension of disbelief you certainly use on the canon films (which are full of holes everywhere, but we still love them) Long live the Empire
@@jaredkellar1186 bro wtf are u talking about.😂 20 bby comes before 19bby. The tf. U don’t even know how the timeline works and ur making films. Ur no better then the director of the acolyte. Who brought plaugis and kiadi mundi into a timeline they weren’t even born in yet.
@@mattheweaton9111please keep it civil brother. Jared’s a bigger fan than all of us. The timeline mistake is on me as one of the creative leads. May the force be with you.
clearly a fan film low budget, glitchy effects, bad acting, over the top dramatic dialog a few of the actors clearly wouldn't be Jedi but yet at the same time I didn't hate it, I'd like to see the story continue maybe seesome non humans
It was an honor to work in this. Thank you all.
The amount of love in detail in this fan film has not been seen since 2003
This was excellent! Would love to see a part 2!

Bring it!
Amazing work! Especially the choreography and rotoscoping!
Wow!! I am amazed at how good this is! It feels like a story that fits perfectly within this universe!
This is absolutely incredible! We need more fans creating their own stories! Again, absolutely incredible!
im very inspired by the inquisitor cape the scars and holes burnmarks incredible!
This was sad, but a very well done film.
Loved being able to portray elick on this project, was so much fun and so much stress and took a few blows to the head but damn it was worth it
Why has this got no comments? You’re literally the star!
Top notch! Special props to the unique camera work!
Wow this is a great story. I really like it. This film is absolutely everything that a Star Wars story needs to have: fun and excitement. I really love the lightsaber battle and the action scenes.
Ya, for sure. The sword fighting was just super!
Wow this is insanely good! Awesome saber effects and sound design whole thing was excellent!
Holy shit, the swordplay was AWESOME! This was amazing, so good! I feel like I watched a movie clip.
It’s nice the Imps have been winning a few lately.
Good stuff. Good space intro and the costumes. And the 8:12 breaking the log midair with the saber, I haven't seen a fan film do that before.
Same! I watched that over about three or four times. I’d have liked to see how that was actually done, it was VERY eye catching and dramatic.
GREAT work. Wish I could be part of something like this. Must of been hard work but incredibly fun to put together.
Connor Botts at it again! Great film! Makes me miss making these with you! You’re a legend! Also the acting and effects were great
Fantastic work! It works be amazing to see what this crew could do with a massive budget and character rights
Wow genial, einer der besten Fan filme die ich je gesehen habe.
An inquisitor that is not utterly incompetent at his job? Now that is refreshing!
Or at the very least, less incompetent than the Jedi he's hunting.
That was one of the coolest Star Wars fan films I think I've ever watched
Honored to play a small acting role in this! In the credits as Nathaniel for those wondering
Nice work, friend. It was an honor to watch.
Very well put together, glad to see the final product. Hope to see some future projects
Amazing.... More of it please.
Great Job! Thank you all I enjoyed it.
Also, love the use of Samuel Kim music!
Well done! Tragic story 😥

Wish we had more budget to please everyone 🤷🏼♂️
Now _THIS_ is how you portray the Sith and Jedi. Extremely well done!
Awesome job!

Of course a couple of Jedi could eliminate an entire platoon... Also the Jedi don't run through forests randomly with their lightsabers ignited.

AMAZING JOB!!
I really enjoyed this. Honestly, in my opinion, it was way better than the two Jar Jar Abrams movies.
almost five minutes in and I'm getting more enjoyment out of this than the corporate shills.
