Everyone else reviews devices and consumer electronics. But you treat these nonliving entities like they are your brothers and sisters. Brings tears of joy to my eyes.
ASUS probably expects this device will fail to sell for the amount of money they invested in it. But, that wasn't the goal of the development of this device. The goal was to solve problems that are likely to appear in other devices. It is like the NASA mission to the Moon. Professor Scot I actually think this is to get in the market before too many competitors arrive. It’s a compelling package for gamers. I don’t play games on my phone or in general really, but I would get this phone because I have an iPhone, and I’m tired of it becoming the surface of the sun whenever I use it for more than an hour
From my experience it could be the case for the ROG phone too but only if you max the hell out of the brightness, turning the color gamut mode to wide, and turning on X mode which ups the CPU/GPU performance. However that external fan clip that comes with the phone knocks pretty much 90% of the heat out of the park and keeps the back of the phone completely cool and can cool most of the front so you wouldn't have to worry about the front frying your fingers off.

I just bought this phone and it kicks ass. I haven't had as much fun with a phone in a long time. In the end, it's just a phone, yes. But it is really good. Asus has put the best of the best for everything inside or outside. Big battery, overclockable processor. The list goes on. Even the tactile feel of the volume and power buttons is top notch. This is very user friendly for gaming. Pretty clever. Definitely underrated. Wonder how gaming audio might be using the headphone jack. Maybe not a big deal for a phone.
Not too much of a gamer but I love this phone so far. The design is unique and definitely stands out from the crowd. It's an ideal futuristic peice if tech. The specs are great and I love me some front firing speakers. The OLED screen looks great so far and the UI looks pretty good too. Since is a gaming phone it'll definitely be able to take on anything and should last a long time. Great review and I'll definitely be back for part 2.
It's not for casual gamers anyway. It's made to play high end games without thermal throttling. This phone will outperform even the OnePlus 6 in gaming. My only concern is with the Android updates
@@mcbc5189 If I'm wrong, then in 6-12 months, when people have had time to buy the phone, look at the number of downloads for the most graphics intensive mobile games (iOS and Android) and compare them with sales for this device and the Razer Phone. As always, good video.
Finally turned on the bell notification.
This is the first thing that excited me today. It's got to have some attachments to have controller like functionality because I can't stand on screen controls...omg, I hate them.
This man deserves 10 million!
♥️
>90% of the people who game on mobile won't consider this device.
Noah Akkerman but the ones who want a top of the line Overclocked notchless phone with a 3.5mm port, might consider it over the Samsungs.
Your opinion is nothing more than an empty-headed biased comment when you fail to include the reason behind it.
I predict that mobile downloads of the most 'gamer' game (be it Racing, Battle Royale, or other) will outnumber sales of the two phones at least 10 to 1.
I'm getting mine on November 5. Gamepad included the pre-order.
Great review. Very entertaining and insightful.
Did you happen to open up the macro settings inside a game? I haven't been able to find this mentioned in any other video.
Are the macros able to be keymapped to the air triggers?
Video quality is awesome
