I made this one oc who’s a ghost and he died from something really traumatic and he’s just not traumatized by it at all. He isn’t even sad that he’s a ghost. His whole opinion on the matter is just “meh, things happen sometimes.” He’s a pretty chill and wholesome character, both before and after death. He likes to prank people sometimes but if he sees someone is sad he will provide emotional support. The character’s name is Thompson. He’s 14. (forever, cuz he’s stuck at the age he died at.)
For me, it's hard to incorporate trauma for my ocs, they were just given a personality and a plot. I mean sure, I'd give them a little bit of a backstory, but idk how its relative to the plot. Even when I first entered the gacha community, I never think to give it tragedy
The backstory can be "why she's like this". Backstories aren't always bad, they can be something good. But, the backstories are made so they aren't perfect. Everyone suffers tragedies.
I don't traumatise my ocs because I've been traumatised and trauma is bad, trust me. I am only the neglectful creator who only visits once a month or two when she gets inspired by something that makes her cry or delighted.
@@aminamiavs.marufamia3800same, If I get trauma my oc also deserves trauma cause making them have trauma is my choice and I will most likely get jealous so give my oc more trauma then me to reduce jealousy in me 😂😂😂

I like to treat my ocs to be a Best Friend, Sometimes Family, Sometimes Child, Sometimes Twins, All of them except The Cruel and Deleter. Also, I love your videos, Robin! 😊
I do have an oc like that, his name is Michelle. His parents divorced, his father abused him & his elder brother. His brother was the only one who cared, but he died when Michelle was 16. His brother's death traumatized him, making him unable to smile, be cheerful, it also made him having an emotionless face, while his mind is full of pain. I'm sorry if you're annoyed after reading this ;-;
To those saying an oc without trauma is basically nothing, please stop torturing your oc for no reason. Instead, make their trauma make sense instead of just giving it to them for no reason. For example: *Don't:* Give your oc a backstory that has nothing to do with their current self. (Like a chef OCs backstory involving getting beaten up by a vampire in their childhood or something.) *Do:* Think about the OCs personality and give them a story accordingly. (Like if you have a happy character, then they could either always be happy or make that their coping mechanism.)
Hmm...what if the chef became a cook for garlic!? For the vampire! (It's a joke before anyone says anything) Also what if your oc is currently happy but had a difficult backstory but it has a happy ending or something?
POV taking both and getting an OC where their parents where abusive and were shot then the oc later learns that they had a plan to become nicer and it breaks them
I am "the Cruel" and slightly "the mother" bc I have caught myself calling them my babies a few times (I only started doing that after I began writing a book about them). In my defense I made most of my OC's back in 2018 - 2020 and horrid painful backstories were a huge thing. Now its kinda a habit I cannot break. i tried really hard to leave the one i made in 2022 without a tragic past and I managed to do so for a while (She hardly had a personality tho) But when I was fleshing out her character for my book she developed one without me even realizing I was doing it. Even My OC's children have tragic stories and you would think they would be safe but no.
I only give my characters trauma because they are actually from a horror game (Five Nights at Freddy’s) so it would make sense to. Plus, a character is not a character without trauma They must have at LEAST a bit-
