Awesome. ALWAYS been a Crue fan. No we know where Tommy got the idea for spinning of his drums. I have always loved Mick, so cool and mysterious, just an awesome guitar player. He sure had some great ideas!!!
This was fantastic! Great to see Mick at such a young age with this band. Mick has been my favorite guitar player since I first heard him. I was about 12 I'm now 53 and he's still my favorite. 1313 forever! 👽 🎸
Props to your mom for keeping on recording after her son was about to be the first drummer ever crushed on stage by a drum set 😂, she held it still and composed herself, although there might be a short cut in the film where she freaks out, but understandable since it's your mom.
I was at this show. There was a group of 8 of us. Our friend Michelle who was with our group got separated from us after she went to the bathroom. She was never seen again. To this very day there was never any clue what happened to her other than a few people that said she was drunk and carried out by a guy who they thought was probably her boyfriend. Whoever it was, she didn't know him because she was there with us.
ASTONISHING to know that even the name , MOTLEY CROO and the twisting drum kit trick , wasn' t creations of both nikki sixx and tommy lee , the real talented guy has always been MICK MARS , and strictly nobody else !!!
At the very end of the video clip the announcer is calling up for the next band in the line up which is Rockandi that was Vince Neil’s band before Tommy Lee invited Vince to audition for Nikki Sixx and Tommy Lee’s band
I doubt that Rock Candy he’s mentioning is Vince’s band. Vince was only 14 at the time. Assuming it was the same year. The audio is from another gig at the Starwood, but it would have to have been a few years later to be Vince’s Rock Candy.
Buddy Rich took my place on the "I've got a Secret " game show in 1975 in New York. I was supposed to do the show as an upsidedown duet with host Steve Allen playing the piano upside down using Keith Emerson"s rig but I broke my leg and had to cancel. They built a rig for Buddy and Buddy insisted on doing the act with out Steve. Buddy was the 4th upsidedown drummer overall at that time. The clip of Buddy is on youtube somewhere. It's Rock Candy, not Rockandi. I literally had to sign up with Wikipedia to fix that. I have a book called Motley Crue The Official Biography: The first 5 years by Dante Bonutto and he spells it Rock Candy. no just a garage door track and cable. Made it for $500. Half the cost was a Milwaukee Hole Haug industrial drill and a winch. All I could afford, playing for $30 a night and breaking $15 worth of sticks a night. Took me a year to save enough money to attempt to build it. Everyone I mean everyone but Mick thought I was out of my mind.

Mick the creative head and the giver of ideas to the Crüe!
Wolfgang Markus Gstrein Mick was the musical backbone to motley, but I wouldn't say he was the creative head,I think that was more Nikki Sixx!

The DJ at the Starwood also mentions coming soon "The Butts Band" which was "The Doors" minus Jim Morrison.
