@@femininefamous22 waves dont break the same from one to another so you often just have to go through the whitewater. with point or reef breaks the waves always break the same so it's easier to paddle out

Yeah me too. Really got to educate people about stuff like this. So much bullshit in our backyard, yet the pollies let it happen outside of Australia. I'm pretty sure this goes against 90% of what Australians would want, which says world's about the current governments on offer.

Lost, cold as fu#k, sleepin' on rocks, equipment snapping like peanut brittle, nothing else to do but wait around for "personal" or "conditions" recovery, etc. etc.!!
When you hear "alotta water moving" and "caught on inside" comments by experienced surfers then ya know the conditions are challenging!!
Nothing like putting on a (still) wet wetsuit, especially when it's cold outside.
Only a surfer knows da feelin'!

These guys are so talented. It takes a lot of skill and significant cajones to not only paddle out in some heavy beach break surf like that 6 hours from a hospital and commit to riding some bombs like they were at home. Respect.
This is the essence of what every surer dreams of, to have a spot with good waves to yourself just you and your friends. Unfortunately this is for the most part only a dream these days for most unless you have the time and the means to travel to the few places left in the world where you might find this scenario. Commercialism, crowds, localism, pecking orders are the things that are getting worse all the time. The question is where will surfing be in another couple decades? Glad you guys were able to live the dream and I hope you have many more adventures like this. 🤘
