One thing that might be important if you're not from an english speaking country: The PS4 version (idk about Switch) has a bug where the game softlocks itself during the first 2d section if your system language is set to something else than english or japanese.
i would even say the best part of the game is to custom made the mech... that part seems detailed... like, you can lost 20 minutes playing with that alone...
This game is actually LBX but without the licence and the limitations that came with it. The narrative is much darker and artstyle less kid oriented. Fighting gameplay is more refined than in LBX too !

In addition, new story elements, gameplay systems, and robots will be added. Those who previously purchased the full-price game will receive a discount on a special item set, including exclusive robots. Megaton Musashi X will release in Japan on December 1, 2022. A western release has not been announced.
I love the look if all Level 5 games. It's such a shame their American offices are closed. I used to enjoy the Yokai Watch games and we are seriously missing the Switch release in English! This game looks awesome. Just wish it was localized and in English too.

It appears as the Japanese interpret the saying "The children are our future" as "The children are our leaders". Sending the kids to their certain death always seems to keep them and everyone else alive somehow. I'm not saying I hate it or anything. I imported it and I have had fun playing it on the switch. It's very competent. It's basically a modern Danball Senki with somewhat better controls thanks to more buttons.
I waited over 2 years for "The Snack World" to get localized and even longer for Megaton Musashi to be released period. Level-5 needs a LOT of help to keep themselves in business. I'd really like if someone with more management skills could buy them out and right the ship. Otherwise, as a company their likely fu- destroyed.

High Key want this game solely because the cover art SLAPS 🤖 It’s a shame that funimation, crunchyroll, hidive etc. didn’t pick up the anime because the CGI is actually pretty solid and it has a great OST. Like Jordan said the only way to watch it is on the Level5 YT channel, but sadly doesn’t have subtitles :/ Western definitely seems bleak

the story end in clifhanger because they already plan to have season 2 in october 2022, seeing how they must go around the world to build spaceship. same with the game, they gonna upgrade the game like MHW to MHWIB, yes the title changed too. from megaton kyuu musashi to megaton kyuu musashi kai. and seeing from the game calender, they seems all free update.
I struggle whether to play Japanese Switch Yu-Gi-Oh! Rush Duel video game when I cannot read Japanese well. Yet, the English version of Rush Duel video game is missing updated content to match the Japanese version. My dilemma is real. 😅😂🤣😭

Alas… I wonder how expensive it really is to translate the text to English in these types of games versus the profit that could be had by sales to the seemingly growing import community. I was very bummed out when I heard some time ago Level 5 was basically abandoning the western markets over lackluster sales. I chalked it up to the boring taste in games by your average western consumer (shooters, sports, shooters, sports, endless iterations of franchise shooters and sports!) so I was surprised to find out they are also struggling at home in Japan. They make fantastic, fun, well crafted games, what gives?
I'd watch the anime fansub (only 13 episodes) then play it, it's an easy import. I hope it gets an English release, doubt it. But it's not that hard to understand to play it rn, the story is so weird lol I can't wait for season 2 of the anime. Arshem is best girl btw.
I hope Level 5 pulls themselves out of their apparent hole and I wish their developers all the best...but unfortunately, I don't think this will be the game to save them. Especially since it shares more than a few aspects of its story and gameplay loop with VanillaWare's magnum opus 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. And objectively there's absolutely no way it can compete with that title. I hate to be "that guy", but honestly if any aspect of Megaton Musashi interests you then I'd be remiss as a longtime gamer and anime fan if I didn't tell you that you'd get a far superior experience in nearly every measurable aspect from 13S:AR except the mecha customization. Megaton seems to have the edge there. And, if that weren't enough, 13S:AR's 40+ hour campaign is FULLY translated and VOICED in English...
