I interviewed with bulge bracket bank and didn’t have time to prepare as it was last minute scheduling one hour after o got email ! As I was traveling ; I failed it !
I felt there was no big chemistry just like dating...I agree if there s no connection it’s hard...i tried to connect but it just didn’t click...even we had one common thing about studying in US and visting his home country...didn’t work ! I have an interview in two days final round with VP and I really want to land the job ! But wonder how this would work...also so scared as my financial modeling are beginner ! So idk if it’s right even though I had my bachelor in finance !
the hardest exam I ever had to do was to get into investment banking, so I understand.... unfortunately, a lot of people (including me at first) thought because of my finance background that would automatically entitle me to pass the interview... But NO! I would honestly recommend at least 2 / 3 months of preparation to go through accounting/ finance/ valuation/ fin. modelling/ M&A and LBO in order to fully be prepared and ace all of your interviews... check out our interview guide if you need help, we have nearly every single question and word-for-word answers... we made this specially for candidates in your position.

So I got two rounds interviews then HR emailed me asking for a time for interview ?! Is it weird to be contacted by HR ( a different person from the people who were coordinating interviews ) after interviewing with 4 people already from a bulge-bracket bank 🏦? Aren’t HR the first people to contact you ?
Would that be a rejection ? Why he mention it as an interview not just a simple call ?!
That's normal ish... if we like or dislike a candidate we have to let HR know after every interview. HR will then give you the news if you've been accepted... start date.. etc or if you've been rejected.
High Finance Graduate thank you for the quick response, I usually think rejection should happen via email though !
So did you get the role?
MemetMuzik it was an interview with HR ! So weird he was 4th to interview me
@@Meyouletsgo how did it go?
So you basically have to be a suck up and get the interviewer to like you
