I found it interesting that, while Deceptions don't really bother about avoiding collateral damage, Blitzwing cared about Lugnut stepping on a SATELLITE.

Well granted, maybe Blitzwing thought it was something that could help them find the Autobots who destroyed their great and glorious leader.
He probably thought that it could’ve triggered a trap made by the autobots.
Blitzwing in the TFA lore: A mentally broken shell of a Transformer who was forced to undergo the Triple Changer procedure without his consent by Blackarachnia that ended up permanently fracturing his mind, is heavily implied to have no real friends due to both his emotional instability and being considered nothing more than a tool/property of the Decepticons, and is pretty much the TFA equivalent of Rampage from Beast Wars or Whirl from the IDW comics.

Maybe at the time of the cartoon he made peace with himself? That would make sense. The triple changer program happened a while ago didn't it?
@@berilsevvalbekret772 That’s a good point, but I feel if that were the case he would be able to control when his different personalities were able to front, as opposed to them coming out whenever they pleased like they do in the cartoon. What I personally think is more likely is that, unlike Blackarachnia, he eventually realized that there was nothing he could do about the condition he was in and that he was stuck like that for the rest of his cycle and, knowing full well what sort of punishment he could receive if he ever tried to rebel against the Decepticons, gave into learned helplessness and reluctantly resigned himself to his fate.
I really hope that one day we can get a script reading for What A Tangled Web We Leave like we got for Trial of Megatron. I find Blitzwing to be a really interesting and fascinating character who’s oddly relatable at times, and I’d love to finally be able to see his backstory in full. There’s so much potential for angst with him and it’d be nice for a majority of the fandom to finally stop reducing him to just “quirky” comic relief and/or Blitzbee.
@@berilsevvalbekret772 well yes and no, we know from one of Blackarachnia's lines that it has been around 1000 years between the events of Archa7 and the events in the show. Subtracting some years from that for her to join the decepticons and working up to her position, and with the knowledge that she did the procedure, it's actually quite recent! Well by cybertronian standards it would be recent since a few hundred years isn't that long when you've been alive for millions/billions of years

@@prettypenguin1944 that is very interesting, I don't have twitter so I haven't seen the season 4 documents, but I do agree that 1. It doesn't mak sense timeline wise 2. It makes Blackarachnia a worse character (I think the entire way she was written is kinda shitty) and I do hate how hasbro had to meddle with it.
And the version of events you present does make a lot more sense in-universe and time line-wise.

One thing often overlooked in Blitzwing's characterization is his shitty sense of humor. Like, he uses EVERY opportunity to make ice puns physical. I think it's very endearing.
TFA did the Decepticons justice, eventhough some of them are goofy but taking one of them down takes a miracle. they are actually a threat even the fodder ones. I miss this show.
And yet for some reason a lot of people hated it, idk why, it was a good show
@@Graboid104 They hated the human villains because they didn't understand or appreciate why the human villains were there -- to present obstacles for the Autobots that they could more easily tangle with, as a way of preserving the threat of the Decepticons for bigger plot beats.
In this way, TFA was ... basically a superhero show that occasionally shifted gears into high tension when the Decepticons are on screen.

I respect the different take, every other Transformers show Optimus and Megatron are equals in terms of skill and power but here Optimus is an underdog compared to Megatron

What if in the Knightverse/Beeverse the Decepticons rebuilt Blitzwing with Shatter and Dropkick's parts and he ends up taking on their personalities too? Shatter becomes the smart face, Dropkick becomes the angry face, and the original Blitzwing becomes the random face that pops up now and then trying to regain control?

I always thought blitzwing would use they them pronouns since they are basically three people in one body. I wondered if cyberverse and earthspark made them different genders like the 🔥 one would be male the 🧊 one female and the crazy 😜 one other I 💭 that would make them ten times better they’d be like siblings or a family 😂

Apparently that was entirely Bumper Robinson’s idea, because of the ‘Blitz’ part, and the animators actually tweaked Blitzwing’s design to match it!
Absolutely my favorite version of Blitzwing. The "fractured" personality and multiple faces that thematically dovetail into his multiple alt-modes was such a genius character design decision. If Blitzwing appears in future Transformers projects, I hope they keep this aspect of him going.

Am I the only one who finds it weird how big Megatron's head is compared to rest of the cons, but is relatively normal when he has a full body?
To this day this version of Blitzwing still makes me laugh as he's the only Decepticon who is not only a triple changer but has a triple personality as well and it probably drives his fellow Decepticons crazy I mean I'm surprised some of the other Decepticons have managed to keep they're sanity when dealing with the escaped looney from the Decepticon looney bin and I even wonder what made Blitzwing's creators think when he was brought online I mean what did they do put 3 Decepticon protoforms into his shell or was his personality component made with unstable circuitry we may never know.

I always had a thought. Blitzwing's 3 faces and personalities correspond to his 3 modes, yeah? If Icy Blitzwing is the jet and hothead is the tank, does that mean that crazy corresponds to the robot mode and thus is the true personality of Blitzwing?
I could be talking out of my ass here but I've always had that line of thought swimming around my head.
Maybe his original personality was a combination of all 3 and after the triple change experiment, the new personalities came in eventually.
Random corresponds to both, hence why he can use either vehicle mode for more than a few seconds, whereas Hothead can only use the tank mode and Icy can only use the jet mode if they're in control for more than a second (and also another reason why Random is called Random). It's the same with Blitzwing's fire-ice ammunition.
