Having seen the show in Brooklyn in December, I loved it even more this week at MSG, the most iconic place to see Madonna. This moment brought me to tears both times, such an emotional moment.

At Close Range with her then husband Sean Penn provided a great backdrop for this song. What an underrated film that was. But then the song can speak to so many other emotions also. She said she is ashamed we have a president that does not know how to spell the word AIDS. Reagan could not ignore the public shaming and finally did something. He acted with hesitation just like Trump. This was when celebrities were actual stars with talent and used their platform to help create a movement. I'm in my 40s. I grew up terrified of the illness & we take the advances in medicine for granted bc so many didn't live long enough to get it. It profoundly gave me of sense of perspective & understanding that I am lucky & it could have been me or anyone else and live to tell about it. 🙏
